Owner Matthew Shendell created The Ainsworth brand in 2008 with the first restaurant located in Chelsea. The first New Jersey location opened in Hoboken in 2015. Matthew’s restaurant portfolio now consists of the restaurant group Paige Concepts which includes four Ainsworth locations; King’s Cafe in the Lower East Side; Brasserie Saint Marc in the East Village,; and three restaurants located in Carroll Gardens in Brooklyn: Court Street Tavern, Brandon’s Donuts and Giuliana’s Sweet Shoppe.
