The list of celebrities visiting local Hoboken + Jersey City spots this spring just keeps growing. Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul were at Hudson Hall in Jersey City the night of May 17th. This marks yet another stop on the duo’s New Jersey tour to promote their mezcal called Dos Hombres — just this morning, fans were lined up for hours in Glen Rock to get their mezcal bottle signed by the Breaking Bad actors at The Glen Rock Bottle King. Read on for what we know about Dos Hombres, the star-studded men behind it, and their appearances in Jersey City + other New Jersey spots.

From Breaking Bad to Business Partners

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul met on the set of Breaking Bad, which aired in 2008. Just like their characters, who form an unlikely partnership on the show, Bryan and Aaron became close friends — and business partners — in real life.

In an April interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Aaron even confirmed that Bryan is his new baby’s godfather.

The duo started their own mezcal brand, Dos Hombres, in 2019, and they’re now on a NJ tour to promote the product, according to NJ Monthly

The reason behind the venture into alcohol? Bryan and Aaron realizing they’d found “the best Mezcal [they’d] ever tasted,” which is stated on the brand’s website.

“We started Dos Hombres to create a Mezcal that we thought was perfect,” the website reads. “A unique blend of the finest Espadin agave, hand-selected from the hillsides of a small village in Oaxaca, Mexico.”

The site even goes into a detailed description of the mezcal-creation process.

The brand has been accruing many accolades, winning various awards and competitions for their mezcal.

Hudson Hall + Other New Jersey Appearances

Bryan and Aaron were at Hudson Hall Tuesday evening, located at 364 Marin Boulevard in Jersey City, on the evening of May 17th to pour samples of Dos Hombres and chat about their mezcal at an event that wasn’t announced officially to the public.

This stop on the tour was preceded by a meet-and-greet event, which ran on the morning of May 17th from 10:15AM to 11AM at Bottle King in Glen Rock. Bryan and Aaron signed many eager fans’ bottles of their booming mezcal. Since this was such a short event, some fans set up camp at 3AM to ensure they got a chance to meet the celebrities.
