If you’re looking for an inexpensive way to experiment with the latest beauty trends, injectables such as Botox or fillers may be the right option for you. Injectables are everywhere, there’s no shame in it. What used to be available only to high-profile celebs is now accessible to the rest of us —and for a reasonable price. While Botox and fillers differ from each other, both serve the purpose of minimizing imperfections on the skin. There are so many places right here in Hoboken and Jersey City that offer injectables and we have rounded up a few of these spots for you to check out.
How It Works
Botox is an injectable that paralyzes certain facial muscles in order to prevent that area from moving. Some use Botox as a preventative measure in order to stop the muscles from continuously moving and creating that crease. Others use it to freeze the muscles that have already created a wrinkle. Fillers, on the other hand, do not serve the same purpose as Botox.
Fillers do exactly as the name implies. This type of injectable fills areas that have lost volume and plumpness. Fillers can be used in lips and cheeks to fill out areas that are in need of some volume. Now that we understand a bit more about these types of injectables, let’s talk about where to go for these injections.

Angela Monterosso, M.S., PA-C | 79 Hudson Street, Hoboken
Angela has been a board-certified physician assistant since 2013 as well as an advanced aesthetic injector and sees patients at East Coast Advanced Plastic Surgery in Hoboken, Livingston, and Ridgewood. At the office, she is able to offer Botox and fillers for those looking for some rejuvenation. “Botox is best for people in their 20s and 30s to prevent fine lines and future wrinkles,” explains Monterosso.
“Botox can be injected to minimize forehead lines, crows feet lines, and 11s — the two lines between the eyebrows.” Fillers are used for deep lines as well as plumping different areas of the face. Fillers are most commonly used around the mouth and nose to hit those deep lines. They are also used for lip plumping and shaping. For pricing information, please contact the office at 201-449-1000. The office frequently offers specials and promotions.
Attain Medspa | 720 Monroe Street
With Vivian, the spa’s nurse practitioner and cosmetic injector (with several years of experience), Attain are able to offer quite an array of trusted, tried, and true injectables to fit the needs of everyone who comes to the office. Not only does Attain offer Botox to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, but it is a problem solver in other areas. Providers using Botox are able to target areas to reduce excessive sweating and help those who suffer from TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction — a condition within the jaw that causes pain and grinding of the teeth).
Injecting into those areas can be both cosmetically and medically beneficial to those who choose to do so. Additionally, owner Lauren Ben-Meir’s office offers fillers to plump and fill in the facial area. The spa typically uses fillers in the Juvéderm family but also loves to use Versa, a versatile and dynamic filler, especially for lips, and Bellotero for under-eye treatments. What makes Attain Medspa so unique is a new (to the office — not to the cosmetic world) body contouring filler that adds volume and creates a more symmetrical body shape. Radiesse, a hyaluronic acid-based filler with an added collagen inducer (which helps the body produce its own collagen) is a safe way to contour the body right in the office.
“This is a safe non-surgical procedure with little to no downtime,” explained Lauren, Attain Medspa’s owner. “With Radiesse, we are able to add volume to areas to treat cellulite, fill scars, and make areas of the body more symmetrical.” The procedure is simple for the client but a work of art for the injector. After numbing the area, the skin is mapped, marked up, and finally injected. Clients can leave the office comfortably and resume regular activities. Lauren’s team is eager to meet with potential clients to teach them more about what they have to offer.
Evolve Med Spa | 706 Grand Street Hoboken; 263 Grand Street Jersey City
Evolve Med Spa is a boutique medical spa that offers face, body, and injectable aesthetic treatments focused on individualized, natural results. The spa opened its first location in Hoboken in March 2020, and now has locations all over North Jersey, including Jersey City, Montclair, Short Hills, and Denville, with two more spots in the works.
Hoboken residents Dr. Oz Fernandez and NP Austin Marie Jacobus collaborated in the creation of Evolve Med Spa after working alongside each other for years at Hoboken Hospital. Dr. Fernandez, an OB-GYN doctor, and Austin, a nurse, were on the labor and delivery floor and delivered many Hoboken babies together. They switched gears and joined the world of aesthetics. Dr. Fernandez’s areas of expertise are facial anatomy, skin texture, and post-baby rejuvenation, and Austin’s skills as an injector quickly catapulted her to become a national clinical trainer and expert provider.
Evolve has many treatment options available from injectables to body treatments, so you’re sure to find the right one to meet your needs. The list of services include injectables such as botox, dermal fillers, and Kybella, facial treatments, including microneedling (with or without PRP), and body treatments to tighten, trim, and tone, including a new alternative to Coolsculpt which is less painful and has an added skin tightening element — called Evolve. You can book a free in-person or virtual consultation to discuss your goals and learn what treatment options are recommended for your individualized needs. The charge for Botox, Jeuveou, and Dysport wrinkle relaxers is $13/unit. Your expert provider will determine how many units are needed to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

For wrinkle correction, Botox and Xeomin are used. Both are easy, in-office procedures that require no downtime except avoiding excessive workouts for 24 hours. Juvéderm, a popular line of fillers that can be used in the cheek (Voluma), lips (Vollure), and fine lines around the mouth (Ultra Plus).
Radiesse is a multipurpose filler that can be used for the cheeks, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds. Schweiger Dermatology Group | 2 Hudson Place
This dermatological office is a comprehensive medical and cosmetic practice that serves the Hoboken community in so many different ways. Besides being a medical office for dermatological appointments, the office also offers an array of cosmetic procedures, including Botox and fillers. Todd Newman, MS, PA-C (10+ years of experience) is the go-to guy for injections. The office offers Juvéderm (Ultra Plus and Voluma), Botox, Radiesse, Belotero, and Restylane (Silk, Refyne, and Defyne).
More specifically, Juvéderm is a hyaluronic acid gel filler that adds volume to the skin and can be used to plump lips, treat lines, or lift or contour cheeks. Radiesse is also a hyaluronic acid filler that can be used to treat both the face and hands, restoring volume and smoothing out wrinkles and folds where patients see a significant loss. As for Belotero, this product is also used to smooth lines, folds, and wrinkles near the mouth and nose.
Restylane is another popular choice and offers a few different options to fit the needs of each patient. Silk is used for lip augmentation and smoothing wrinkles around the mouth while Refyne is used to help soften laugh lines, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. Lastly, Defyne is used to smooth out deep laugh lines near the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Todd will help guide each patient during their visit to help ensure the patient’s needs are met. Schweiger is open six days a week and located next to NJ Transit for easy access from all over. To make an appointment, call the office at 201-298-0971.
Studio 17 | 601 9th Street
Dr. Walter and Grace Sibilia are the only two providers at Studio 17 Cosmetics + Wellness which is one aspect of their team that makes what they offer so unique. After completing her residency at Morristown Medical Center and practicing for many years, Dr. Briza learned that “aesthetic medicine” was a terrific way to help patients feel good, comply with medical treatments, and live a healthier life. This led Dr. Walter to open Studio 17 Cosmetics + Wellness, where she focuses 100% of her love and dedication to anyone looking for integrative, full scope, minimally-invasive treatments, and anti-aging options.
Studio 17 offers everything from Botox®, Fillers, AquaGold™, and Ultherapy™ to Microneedling, chemical peels, Customized/Holistic Facials, and Baby Bump Facials. “Some of our most popular services are anti-aging services with injectables and skin-tightening + collagen-stimulating procedures such as microneedling. As well as acne and hyperpigmentation treatments,” Dr. Briza told Hoboken Girl.
Downtown Medspa | 115 Christopher Columbus Drive
From facials to laser hair removal to lashes, this team does it all. Tam, Downtown Medspa’s registered nurse, and Allergan trained professional (the pharma company that produces products like Juvéderm + Botox) is the office’s injector. She stresses the importance of creating a personalized plan for each client because no two individuals have the same needs. At the office, she is able to treat the face with Botox and fillers to create the desired outcome.
“Botox is a preventative treatment, which is why it is so important to treat areas early,” explained Tam. “When you wait too long, lines can become deeper and more difficult to treat.” As for fillers, Downtown Medspa offers Juvéderm for different needs. Juvéderm Ultra is great for the nasolabial (the area from the nose to the mouth), marionette (the creases next to the corners of the mouth), and smile lines. She uses Juvéderm Voluma to fill the cheek areas, Juvéderm Volbella for the lips, and Juvéderm Ultra for the lines around the mouth. “Ultra is the workhorse that can really be used anywhere.”
Botox and fillers are cost-effective, noninvasive ways to bring back volume and reduce wrinkles. Tam will work with each person to determine which areas need treatment and which injectable. For Botox, the first area treated will cost $250 and $200 for any subsequent area. Clients also have the option to prepay for Botox at a discount (100 units for $1199). Just a rule of thumb, Allergan protocol calls for up to 20 units per area, while most clients need anywhere from 10-20, depending on the skin. Appointments can be made by calling the office at 201-221-3083.
