JK Therapy

In case you’re not familiar, Baked by Melissa is the New York City-based brand famous for its signature {and somewhat revolutionary}, bite-size cupcakes and treats. Passionate about baking since childhood and with the idea that people should be able to taste more flavors without a post-dessert guilt trip, Melissa was fired from her corporate job in 2008 and shortly thereafter launched Baked by Melissa. Since then, it’s become a nation-wide sensation with 13 stores and nationwide shipping. But as a Hoboken resident, Melissa has always felt compelled to bring her cupcakes to her community in the Mile Square.

Hobbs Inc

“I love so many things about Hoboken. It’s peaceful and quiet, you can walk everywhere, and it’s close to the city. There’s passion and love for Hoboken in Hoboken,” she shared with us.

The company is hoping for its next storefront stop to be the Mile Square, so long as the delivery debut goes well.

AXIS School of Dance

Baked by Melissa has opened up local delivery service to Hoboken and Jersey City as of January 27, 2020 for a limited time — from their North Bergen factory and local Hoboken distribution spot {that is a *top* secret location, we can’t disclose just yet, but know it’s in the Mile Square!}. You can order online on their website OR through Seamless/Grub-Hub, etc.

“If this does well, we’re thinking of actually opening a storefront in Hoboken,” Melissa explained about the future of the local delivery service’s success. “But, it all depends on how it does as far as deliveries go — so we’re testing the market carefully.”

The zipcodes 07302, 07310, 07030  are going to be available for delivery locally. So, what does this mean? It means you need to ORDER your cupcakes asap if you want to have Baked by Melissa in town for good. The delivery locally will only be for a brief time as of now, Melissa says.
