A Guide to Farmers Markets in Hoboken + Jersey City

If you’re like the Hoboken Girl team, then you love shopping {+ supporting} local businesses, especially when the weather grows warmer — and perusing outdoor markets becomes a weekly must. In light of this, we’ve rounded up the farmers markets opening around Hoboken + Jersey City this fall. More specifically, where to get fresh everything. 1. Hoboken Farmers Market

The market will open for its 22nd season starting June 2, 2020 on Tuesday from 2:00PM – 6:00PM. The markets will be located on the sidewalks along the east side of Church Square Park and the west side of Demarest School. Union Hill Farms, Melick’s Town Farm, and Circle Brook Organic farms will all be selling New Jersey produce. Pickle-Licious, Gourmet Dried Fruits and Nuts, Hoboken Farms, and the Kimchi Kitchen will be selling their locally made products.

Where: Garden Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets

When: Starting June 2nd || Tuesdays from 9:00AM-2:00PM

2. Uptown Farmers Market

The City of Hoboken in partnership with Bijou Properties will host the Uptown Farmers Market every Saturday from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM under the 14th Street viaduct between Grand and Adams Streets. The market will open starting May 30, 2020. Stony Hill Farms will be selling their Jersey Fresh produce, Hoboken Farms and Paolo’s Kitchen’s will sell locally made eats, along with Pickle-Licious, Valley Creamery’s sheep’s milk cheese, and more.

Where: Under the 14th Street viaduct between Grand and Adams Streets

When: Starting May 30th || Saturdays 9:00AM-2:00PM

Vendors: Stony Hil Farms, Paolo’s Kitchen, Valley Creamery, and more.

3. Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market

With over 25 vendors, the Historic Downtown Jersey City Farmers Market is an easy find and surely not to be missed. Conveniently open until 8:00PM for those who work a 9-5.

Where: Grove Street PATH Plaza // Grove + Newark St {Jersey City}

When: May 11th – December 21st || Mondays + Thursdays from 4:00PM-8:00PM

4. Riverview Farmers Market

Take a stroll through Riverview Fisk Park {with NYC views} in Jersey City Heights and enjoy live music, and a variety of awesome vendors.

6. Hamilton Park Farmers Market

A quick walk from the PATH, bus stop, and Light Rail}, the Hamilton Park Farmers Market has a mix of vendors ranging from local farms and restaurants to fitness vendors from time to time.

When: May 1st – December || Wednesdays 4:00PM-7:00PM

7. Van Vorst Park Farmers Market

Conveniently located 3 blocks from the Grove Street PATH, visit Van Vorst Park’s farmers market for fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, bread, prepared foods, and more.

8. Journal Square Green Market

The Journal Square Green Market started 20 years ago as one of the first farmers markets in Jersey City — and it’s still thriving each year. Located in the heart of Jersey City and just steps away from the PATH station and bus stops, this market is super convenient to get to and enjoy.

When: May 27th – December 23rd || Wednesdays + Fridays  2:00PM-8:00PM

9. The Paulus Hook Farmers Market

This JC farmers market works with the Stony Hill Farms Market to sell fresh produce, pies, flowers, and more to locals and visitors alike. Stop by every Saturday for a tasty treat and a rummage through the market.

10. Arlington Park Farmers Market

This JC farmer’s market offers fresh fruit, veg, and baked goods whenever it’s on. Swing by every Saturday to stock up on some of the best produce in JC for the week.

11. Lincoln Park Farmers Market
