What We Know
Hoboken Girl first learned about the business coming to the area on PrimoHoagies’ website. The address states 1 Castle Point Terrace, Hoboken. A photo displayed reads, “New Location! Coming Soon. Under Construction.”
According to a spokesperson for the franchise, the exact location on the 55-acre campus at Stevens is unknown at this time. It can be inside a building or it can be part of the dining hall. HG is told it’s still “being planned out” and there is “no set date.” However, Primo is expected to open “early next year” and can be as soon as January 2023.

The addition of PrimoHoagies is just another example of Stevens’ expanding and progressing. In May 2022, Stevens celebrated the opening of the three-story, state-of-the-art University Center Complex, which features housing conference facilities, game rooms, dining and student spaces among other new developments.
About the Menu
PrimoHoagies is known for serving specialty sandwiches such as Italian classics, spicy “diablo” sandwiches, philly cheesesteaks, chicken cutlets, tuna hoagies, and more.
The “award-winning bread,” which is baked fresh every two hours, is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meats are Thumann’s gourmet and have no fillers and “no junk.” The vegetables that are used as toppings are sourced locally and freshly chopped every day.
“Our name is PrimoHoagies because the quality of our sandwiches is the best around- and anyone who’s tried a Primo Hoagie knows it. After all, it’s not just a Hoagie… it’s a Primo!” the franchise’s logo states.

Primo also offers catering for parties, meetings and special events. Hoagie trays come in a variety of sizes that can feed five to 25 guests, and a variety of options. The sampler plate, for example, allows people to taste the different gourmet meats. There’s also a cookie platter for dessert.
