We all know that Washington Street is the central hub for many great businesses. And with the recent turnover, it seems as though there are quite a few spots going up in the next few months. Signage for new businesses went up in the fall of 2023 at the former GameStop location at 408 Washington Street, and the former Zero Otto Uno restaurant at 502 Washington Street — and we have the scoop on what will fill these two spots in the coming months. Read on to find out more about Nuts Factory and Kong Dog coming to Washington Street in Hoboken, NJ.

The team hopes to bring back the nostalgic feeling of open-style, old-fashioned market-style stores selling a large selection of nuts, dried fruits, spices, candies, olives, chocolates, coffee + tea, legumes, and others in bulk. Products also sold at the store are available for purchase online and make great housewarming and host gifts.

This highly anticipated opening does not yet have a set date but we will update you as soon as we know more. For now, be sure to visit the Nuts Factory Instagram to scope out all of the potential goodies soon to be available at its newest location in the Mile Square.

Also coming to Washington Street is Kong Dog, a TikTok-famous Korean-style corndog joint. Just this summer, Kong Dog made its way to Newport Centre, located at 30 Mall Drive in Jersey City, and will now be opening up shop in the former Zero Otto Uno location at 502 Washington Street in Hoboken.

These drool-worthy corndogs are made to order and can be savory or sweet by first choosing a base corndog — think churro, ramen, or hot-Cheetos crusted, filling it with mozzarella, beef, chicken sausage, or plant-based sausage, and then deep frying it to perfection. The menu also includes a variety of bubble teas, iced lattes, and other drinks.
