This spot is known around town for its incredible food without the guilt, offering healthier versions of classics like sweet and sour chicken and lo mein. Lunch specials can be ordered from 11AM – 3PM on weekdays and each option comes with a choice of white, brown, egg fried, veggie fried, chicken fried, or pork fried rice. Most people might know Turning Point for its excellent breakfast menu or fresh juices, but don’t miss lunch at this waterfront spot. Also known as their “High Noon Eats” menu, the variety of lunch choices at Turning Point are endless. Opt for a full-size salad or sandwich such as a cran-walnut chicken salad sandwich or a chop-chop salad. The special lunch menu includes classics such as French onion soup and Caesar salad or full entrees such as short rib macaroni au gratin, a burger with french fries, and a crepe du jour. La Casa serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch but their lunch specials are a deal you don’t want to miss. Choose an entree, and two sides for $11 or less. You’ll find authentic classics like pollo asado, ropa vieja, pernil, carne guisada, steak churrasco, mofongo, and bistec sandwiches. In a hurry? Grab an empanada (with accompanying dipping sauces, of course) to go.

Chango Kitchen | 301 Willow Avenue

Changó Kitchen, a Cuban-Latin restaurant, has daily lunch specials available on the menu from 12PM – 4PM daily. Guests can order items such as mofongo (a classic Puerto Rican dish), Cuban sandwiches, vegetarian options, and even a kids menu. Changó Kitchen is also serving up traditional Latin desserts – tres leches, flan, and more are available for your sweet-tooth fix. 

Karma Kafe | 505 Washington Street

One of Hoboken’s oldest Indian restaurants, Karma Kafe features a large menu with many traditional Indian dishes. Lunch specials are served from Monday through Friday, 12PM to 3PM and include lunch wraps and lunch boxes to go. The tandoori dishes are a must-try. Other menu items include apps like the karma crabcakes and veggie tikis as well as salads, soups, tandoori bread. Main courses include several meat options and seafood.

Okinawa | 400 Newark Street

Quick, fresh delivery and great prices are the two main draws to this downtown Hoboken sushi joint, but what will keep you coming back for more is the delicious sushi, soups, and appetizers. With fantastic (bargain) lunch specials and endless options of rolls and hand rolls, you can try something new with every visit or takeout order. Some of our favorite Okinawa rolls are the rainbow roll – assorted raw fish on top of a traditional California roll – that’s just as pretty as it tastes, and the Tokyo roll which has lobster tempura, avocado, cucumber, mango, and masago wrapped in soybean paper and topped with mango sauce.

Greektown | 86 Garden Street

Known for its authentic Greek food, Greektown has a delicious lunch menu that is not only delicious but a great value. You can fill up on a yeero platter, hummus, tzatziki dip, yeero platters, and more. Check out their full menu here.

Curry Up Now is always a great choice for lunch, but if you’re specifically looking to feed a group for an event or an office luncheon, put this on your list. They provide boxed lunches with a minimum of 10 boxes per order, but one set includes a burrito, samosa with chutneys and Indian cookies, while the other options includes a rice bowl and seasonal side salad. Rosticeria Da Gigi is an old-school Italian deli with a retro flair, modern twist, and homemade, well, everything.
