This just in: Hudson Hall, located at 364 Marin Boulevard in Jersey City, is the site of filming for an episode of Impractical Jokers on January 12th. If you’re not familiar, it’s a comedy series where some episodes have a celebrity guest. This week, however, the series is filming at the Jersey City bar. Read on to learn more about what we know about the filming of Impractical Jokers, the happy hour, and past celeb sightings at Hudson Hall in Jersey City.

The Scene

Hudson Hall opened in 2019 — and is known for its beer list, smoked meats, and giant TVs. Its high ceilings and big windows make it a comfortable choice for big events, and the exposed brick walls add that urban charm found in so many downtown JC buildings. Hudson Hall was ground zero for the festivities during March Madness 2022, when JC’s own St. Peter’s University was the tournament’s Cinderella story, making it all the way to the Elite Eight.

Today’s filming isn’t the first time a celeb has been spotted at this particular restaurant. Last spring, the stars of Breaking Bad stopped by to promote their new mezcal brand. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul founded a mezcal brand in 2019 after become friends while working on the show. The brand, called Dos Hombres, has won several awards. The duo stopped at several North Jersey locations to promote the brand, sign bottles, and meet fans.

The high ceilings and exposed brick walls also make an excellent spot to film a TV show. Impractical Jokers is an improvisational comedy series in which three friends challenge each other to do outrageous things in public. If they refuse, they lose. Losers are then ‘punished’ with the help of that episode’s celebrity guests. Celebrities from many different industries including sports and entertainment have appeared on the show, including New Jersey natives Buddy Valastro of Carlo’s Bakery and comedian Big Jay Oakerson. The show airs on TruTV.

The Filming

It was rumored that the celebrity guest for the episode being filmed today was ’80s rocker and Rock of Love star (because let’s be honest — that’s really what his claim to fame is for those who were VH1 fans in the 2000s) — Bret Michaels. After doing some recon, we found out there will be no Bret Michaels sightings.

According to Hudson Hall, the spot will be having a special happy hour tonight — where people will be welcome starting at 6:30PM. Each party who comes in will receive a $10 coupon toward drinks.
