• Hoboken Spring {Style Guide} is in Full Bloom!

    Written by:

Spring is the perfect time to re-evaluate that wardrobe of yours – not only in anticipation of future shopping sprees for springtime staples {coming from a guilty shop-a-holic} but to give your closet a breath of fresh air and take inventory of what you have buried in there!

As we finally say goodbye to those cozy winter layers, and unwrap ourselves from our cocoon of puffer coats and wool socks, there are a few things that we would recommend preparing some closet space for… as we sneak our way into a warmer wardrobe. We gave you both Fall and Winter, and now {drumroll please} we are proud to roll out our HG Spring style guide; where we unveil our favorite local shopping finds for all of your seasonal needs!

    1. “Florals? For Spring? …Groundbreaking”

We know, we know, but it’s more about where you wear your florals. We found these amazing patterned heels at Dor L’ Dor right in town, and we just HAD to have these babies!

    2. Polished Pastels

[ styled by Town House Shops – 620 Washington Street ]

Pastels are one of those things that are suddenly in season before we’re even ready for it! We saw these styled beauties through the window of Town House Shops, and were inspired to stock up on the colors of spring {although our manis were already 10 steps ahead of our wardrobe thanks to our mani-maven and her colorful spring hues}. The ability to mix-and-match the soft shades of pastel clothing allows for so many style possibilities; throw a blazer on top and voila — you’re ready for the day!

    3. Superwoman Style

Speaking of blazers, please join us in giving a warm welcome to the amazing cape-blazer! The versatility of this blazer makes it ESSENTIAL for the transition into spring, we adore this classy and polished look while also giving off that empowered #girlboss vibe. Such an easy to wear go-to piece, be the first of your friends to try out the trend – trust us, they’ll all be jealous.

    4. Portable Puns

[ our favorite local find this season! shop these cuties at Dear Hannah – 503 Washington Street ]

Do we need to say more other than… MUST-HAVE? We thought these would be an adorable addition to our style guide being that they are so versatile {which seems to be a common theme}; throw it in your purse to keep your electronics safe, or just carry it as a clutch, these punny-pouches are sure to be a hit no matter where you’re off to!

    5. Prepping & Pampering

Genna moved to Hoboken upon graduating from the University of Tennessee to start her Marketing career at HGTV, and is most currently at The Knot in downtown Manhattan. To Genna, there's nothing better than cheering on UT football, soaking in warm sunny weather on her balcony, and watching starry-skied movies on Pier 13. You may have spotted Genna as a customer associate at Anthropologie ...that is, when she's not doing Hot Yoga or punching bags at CKO! Most days, you can find Genna circling the Mile Square on an early morning run or attempting to justify her shopping habits along Washington Street.
