One of the best things about Hoboken in the summer is its free Summer Fun programming, with opportunities to enjoy + partake in family-friendly concerts, fitness classes, outdoor movie showings, and more. The City of Hoboken has officially announced the return of Summer Fun for 2026, beginning on Tuesday, June 2nd, with familiar event series like Movies Under the Stars, Concerts in the Park, and more. Keep reading to learn about Hoboken’s free Summer Fun programming and its full lineup for 2026.
Concerts in the Park
Concerts in the Park is an annual event series that features live music performances throughout Hoboken, in various spots such as Shipyard Park, Church Square Park, and the Southwest Resiliency Park Farmers’ Market. Performances are on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, and the artist lineup is as follows:

On Thursday, August 13th, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, the Hoboken My Way Sinatra Sing-Off will be held in partnership with Hoboken Historical Museum. It will feature 10 performers honoring Frank Sinatra through covering his songs + style. Those interested in participating in the event can reach out to Geri Fallo at [email protected].
Movies Under the Stars
Hoboken’s Movies Under the Stars programming will be held on Wednesdays and feature a lineup of films across many genres. Each movie night will begin with trivia at 8:00 PM, with the opportunity to win prizes, and movies will be shown at 9:00 PM. This year’s lineup is as follows:

- July 15th | Superman | Pier A Park
- July 22nd | Delivered Vacant | ResilienCity Park
- July 29th | Hamilton | Pier A Park
On July 15th, July 22nd, and July 29th, free pizza will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis by sponsor Colavita. The scheduled rain dates are on Saturday, August 8th, and Wednesday, August 12th.

DanceFest
Hoboken DanceFest will include professional dance performances from acclaimed organizations and artists, including performers affiliated with the Metropolitan Opera and Ballet Hispanico. The three-week event series will be held on Tuesdays at ResilienCity Park on July 7th and July 14th. The rain date is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21st.
Fitness in the Park
Fitness in the Park is an event series that includes free samples of workout programs led by local fitness studios. Participants are advised to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, sneakers, water, and an exercise mat. This year’s Fitness in the Park lineup (for July + August) is as follows:
