Community Lifestyle is a Hoboken-based non-profit organization that is committed to breaking barriers through offering programs that empower youth and teens. Some volunteer opportunities with the organization include after-school support, mentoring teens, and setting up for community events.
Computers 4 People | 321 Newark Street

Computers 4 People is a non-profit organization in Hoboken that helps the community understand the digital world through teaching digital literacy, refurbishing devices, and funding access to technology. Volunteer opportunities at Computer 4 People can be either in-person or remote.

The Hoboken Shelter | 300 Bloomfield Street
The Hoboken Shelter provides resources for those in need, including food, shelter, case management, skills-training workshops, and counseling. The non-profit needs volunteers to contribute in the kitchen, laundry room, office, and during special events. Volunteer shifts are flexible and registration can be done here.
St. Matthew Trinity Lunchtime Ministry | 8th + Hudson Streets
St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church hosts a lunchtime ministry to provide warm meals, hospitality, and community for those in need of food and shelter. It can use volunteer help anytime from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Volunteer tasks include meal preparation, meal serving, sorting donations, and cleaning. Jersey City
ANGELACares | 512 Ocean Avenue, Unit 1
ANGELACares is a community organization that serves the elderly, youth, and caregivers throughout Hudson County. Volunteers at ANGELACares support the organization’s efforts through teaching tech, delivering groceries, or spending quality time with a senior.
Boys + Girls Club of Hudson County | 225 Morris Boulevard
The Boys + Girls Club of Hudson County needs volunteers to help support children in grades K-12. Volunteers can choose to help for one day or on a regular basis. One-time volunteer opportunities are also available on holidays throughout the year, so be sure to keep an eye on its website.
Friends of Ferris Triangle Park | 250 Old Bergen Road
Friends of Ferris Triangle Park supports the Ferris Triangle Park, working hard to keep it clean and lively with community events. Volunteers within the organization can help bag + distribute groceries for its food pantry on the third Friday + Saturday of each month, and the organization also distributes diapers and baby formula every Thursday to those in need. Opportunities to tutor kids are also available, which can even be done through Zoom.
Hudson County CASA | 442 Hoboken Avenue
Hudson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a volunteer-based non-profit dedicated to supporting the lives of foster children. CASA Volunteers are paired with a foster child and get to know that child through monthly visits. CASA advocates work for the child’s best interest and communicate with everyone involved in the case, with the ultimate goal of placing them in a safe, permanent home. Rutgers Cooperative Extension is an initiative providing science-based education and research to New Jersey residents.
