Hoboken Fitness: UFC Boxing Gym {Review}

Written by:

It’s mid February, and if you’re on the resolution train, chances are you’re feeling pretty burnt out and bored of your workouts as of late. For those with that dreaded workout ennui who want to try something completely new, something out of your comfort zone… I’ve found the ticket: boxing. Personally {and so you know where this review is coming from}, I’ve never done it before, but I’ve been seeing more and more videos of everyone from models to athletes punching it out — so I decided to give it a try.

UFC Boxing Gym Hoboken Fitness

UFC Gym, located downtown on the river in Hoboken {316 Sinatra Drive to be exact}, offers free classes for your first time there. This is always a plus for me because there’s nothing I dislike more than paying for a workout class that I’m not sure I’ll even like. If you enjoy my review and want to give it a go, you can get a pass for a free class here.

All in all, I loved it. It was tough, but energizing. I left feeling empowered, accomplished, and wanting more. There were also TONS of cute guys there, which didn’t necessarily hurt… 🙂 Boxing will take a place in my gym rotation without a doubt, and I have UFC Gym to thank for that. If you have any suggestions as to where I should go next or want to share your personal experience with boxing, please share below!

Sam is originally from the Jersey Shore, and has been living in Hoboken for the last few years both downtown and uptown. By day, she works in Social Media Marketing in New York City, and by night she's scoping out all of the fitness classes that Hoboken has to offer! When not working, doing Pilates, trying new restaurants, or hanging out at Pier 13, you can find Sam hanging at the beach with her family (or eating Italian food from Lisa's).
