Regardless of the year, we’re going to go all out for Galentine’s Day. Galentine’s Day {the fictional holiday created by Leslie Knope in a 2010 episode of Parks and Recreation} is February 13th and celebrating its 11th anniversary – but as far as we’re concerned, every day should be Galentine’s Day. So if you’re still looking to celebrate your good friends and show them how much you care during this time of year, we’ve created some fun Galentine’s Day quarantine ideas you can do while social distancing, and enjoying this month filled with love.
Activities
Movie Night
Watch your favorite chick flick, a romance film {looking at you Notebook and Titanic}, and more. Streaming platforms like Disney+ have launched a Groupwatch feature {allows you to watch a movie or shows together while apart; some even include chat features} – and it’s the perfect addition to any girls night. So grab your popcorn and Valentine’s Day candy, and enjoy the show with your friends.
Pajama Party
One of the greatest parts about quarantine? Not having to get dressed up. Incorporate that perk into your Galentine’s Day celebration. Wear your PJs, but make it cute. Whether they are Valentine’s-themed or onesie pajamas – wearing them as a group will be comfy cozy during your movie night, cocktail party, or whatever you have planned.
Secret Cupid
Secret Santa, but make it Cupid. Use a random generator online {Elfster works in February also!} to decide who you’re each getting gifts for, then send them out prior to your Galentine’s celebration. Open them on camera and guess who sent each one. The perfect little pick-me-up in mid-February.

At-Home Cocktails
Girls night = cocktails. Since you probably rarely see your gal pals these days, splurge a little. For an at-home Galentine’s treat, order some pre-made cocktails to help you virtually celebrate. Kick it up a notch by searching for some recipes, gathering ingredients, and having everyone attend the zoom with the same drink in mind. Maybe add in a little trivia to spice up your cocktail night. There are also some local virtual Galentine’s Day cocktail classes that you and your gals can attend. Meanwhile, if that all sounds too complicated, you can just pick up a bottle of wine at a local liquor store – we won’t judge.

Plenty of local restaurants in the Hoboken and Jersey City area are offering restaurants kits of some sort. If your friend group loves the kitchen, then an easy way to celebrate this holiday is cooking something together over zoom. This will be in lieu of a dinner party, but as long as you have your girlfriends – the laughs around the table will definitely still be had.
