In October, the team at Hoboken Girl debuted our first limited edition hard seltzer flavor — Blood Orange — for the fall season in collaboration with 902 Brewing Co. Now, in mid-January, we’re very excited to announce the release of our second flavor, Cranberry Lime, just in time for the long and cold winter season. This Hoboken Girl Hard Seltzer is in collaboration with 902 Brewing Co. in Jersey City, located at 101 Pacific Avenue in Bergen-Lafayette. It is slowly rolling out to local liquor stores and other places in the next few weeks — including our friends at Sparrow!

Cranberry Lime — Limited Edition, 100% Locally Made
For the second flavor, Cranberry Lime, we wanted to fuse two popular flavors into one — with a twist on the beloved Raspberry Lime flavors. The end result is a sweet flavor that goes down smoothly and pairs well with liquor, or by itself over ice, of course. It was important for us to source the products locally, both for the creation and distribution processes.
The cans were designed by Alexa Martin {@alexamartindesigns}, a local resident, artist, and Hoboken Girl contributor — as well as Meghan Philips helping with additional designs. We chose a bright cranberry color to reflect the fun flavor, with iconic Lackawanna Station design will be depicted on each of the cans, showcasing the roots of both Hoboken Girl and 902 Brewing Co. as both companies were founded in the Mile Square. 902 Brewing Co.’s brewery is located in BeLa Jersey City, so the entire operation — from start to finish — takes place locally.

The 1st Flavor: Blood Orange
The first flavor of the collaboration, Blood Orange, was chosen after a lot of taste testing of different flavors with the Hoboken Girl and 902 Brewing Co. teams. We wanted to kick off the collection with a unique flavor that felt right for the season {having launched in October 2020} — since it was a limited edition. The can had an orange ombre design to complement the flavor. It sold out quite quickly, so we’re hoping to bring it back for another batch coming soon!
The 902 Brewing Co.
902 Brewing Co. got its start when Colby Janisch and Don Vogt decided to start brewing their own beer at 902 Washington Street in Hoboken, New Jersey. They would enter homebrew competitions and be successful enough to decide this could be a real business opportunity for them. At the time, Colby and his brewing partners were brewing beer out of their apartment at 902 Washington Street in Hoboken — and thus, the name 902 Brewing Co. was formed.
Jen, the founder of Hoboken Girl met Colby back in 2012 at a Chili Cookoff Contest — and fast-forward almost 10 years later, the brands have teamed up to create this 100% locally-made hard seltzer collaboration.
