Recently, a Hoboken chicken salad received a special shout-out from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York star, Bethenny Frankel. Bethenny Frankel, one of the stars of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New York and the founder of the skinnygirl brand, is known to share her favorite foods and household items on her social channels with brutally honest reviews. She has been vocal about her love for chicken salad specifically.
After learning about the chicken salad at Rosticeria Da Gigi (known to most locals as “Gigi’s”) from a Hoboken resident who works on her staff, Bethenny tried it and put what locals already know and love on a map bigger than the Mile Square. “It’s got a good fluff factor; I can see it from the outside of the package,” shared Bethenny before diving into the clear food container.

Her initial thoughts on the salad were, “It’s excellent!” She explains that the celery is cut into super fine pieces that give a crunch without being overpowering and that the chicken is “not pureed; there are still tiny pieces, but it’s pureed enough.” This review has been viewed hundreds of times. It has generated a buzz around Gigi’s, with locals still reporting higher-than-average customer volume nearly two weeks after Bethenny’s video was posted.
