Everything is organic and sourced locally when possible. In fact, all food sources, including specific farms, are proudly disclosed at each table. The extensive menu has items clearly marked as “vegan” and/or “gluten-free,” and there are occasionally vegan specials on the weekend brunch menu as well. Some menu favorites include: vegan patties, including one made from sweet potato and wild rice, and a few pre-made vegan burgers, including the Farmstead Burger that comes wrapped in a collard green, or the Mexican-themed Guadalupe Burger made with a black bean patty and guacamole. And while it’s next to impossible to find vegan dessert at a non-vegan restaurant, Bareburger has vegan carrot cake, and an amazing Cococado shake made from avocado, coconut, and lime.
