Port Authority Officials recommend that drivers planning to cross the river to the Jersey side should prepare to use alternate routes during the closures. Other options for crossing the Hudson include the George Washington Bridge, Lincoln Tunnel, and Staten Island bridges (depending on the NJ destination), or take mass transit such as PATH, NJ Transit, or ferries.
