We can never seem to get enough of our bagels in Hudson County — so it’s always good news when a new bagel shop is hitting the scene. City Bagel + Deli is now open in Downtown Jersey City at 301 Grove Street, a two-story house that was supposed to become the new Broa location. What We Know
Back in October 2022, Jersey Digs reported that signage went up for City Bagel + Deli at 301 Grove Street in Jersey City. We can now confirm that this new spot opened up earlier this week. The space is a historic two-story home that’s been around since the 1800s and has been used for a variety of different things. It “sports original wide-plank pine wood floors, several fireplaces, and a backyard patio,” according to Jersey Digs.

The aforementioned sign on the building reads, “Great bagels and good coffee — the best way to meet people.” Given that this is a bigger property, we’re guessing this shop is going to have more of a ‘stay awhile’ vibe rather than a quick grab-and-go deli.
As for the menu, City Bagel is obviously serving up coffee and bagels, among other dishes. The expansive menu also includes breakfast platters, omelets, burritos, rice bowls + platters, salads, paninis, gourmet wraps, subs, a selection of appetizers, oatmeal bowls, acai bowls, smoothies, desserts, and more.
