    Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks

    At approximately 9:25PM, the largest 4th of July fireworks show in the nation will begin on the East River with over 75,000 shells and effects that will be launched from seven barges. During the show, live music from the West Point Band and Glee Club + Kelly Clarkson will be playing. You can most likely get a view from South Hoboken + Jersey City, but it’s probably best to view from the city side.

    To watch:

    If you go atop Stevens campus in Hoboken, there’s a chance for a view of this spectacle, as well as downtown. Waterfront in Jersey City {especially Southern JC} will have your best bets.

    Freedom + Fireworks Festival {Exchange Place, Jersey City}

    The 5th Annual Jersey City Freedom Fireworks Festival is back at Exchange Place this year and Lutze is throwing the party. With insane views of the city, this is the spot to be if you really want to experience 4th of July fireworks. The full day of live music {headlined by Snoop Dogg — more info on that here}, amusement rides, and good eats starts at 12:00PM and ends at 10:00PM. HG Insider Tip: Get there EARLY if you want a comfortable spot and to beat the train crowds if taking the PATH.

    To watch:

    Stevens campus *may* allot for some ability to see the fireworks, but we make no promises. Pier A also may allow for viewing, but your best bet is to go to Jersey City for this show and see it up close and personal.To make things even more clear, here is a map put together by the Jersey City Community Emergency Response Team {CERT}. This will help direct your way through Jersey City for the 2018 4th of July Festival and Fireworks show this holiday!
