It’s the weekend before Thanksgiving, which means among the turkey prep and straightening your home for guests staying for the holiday, you’ll need some time to unwind from the stress of it all. Luckily, there’s plenty to do in Hudson County from a craft gelato-making class to Hoboken’s first Pasta Cup and a chance to watch the best modern dancers in the area. Here are 17 things to do in Hoboken and Jersey City this weekend {November 16-19, 2017}:

Jersey City Craft Brew Fest: Saturday, November 18th from 1:00-4:30PM and 6:00-9:30PM

Next weekend on November 18th, the Jersey City Craft Brew Fest will return to the Harborside Atrium featuring over 150 styles of craft beer. The festival will be celebrated in the spirit of Oktoberfest and feature a wide variety of fermented beers and ciders, many of which are from local breweries. Guests can enjoy unlimited samples of beer throughout the event, along with entertainment, interactive games, and a variety of food options including newcomers Pizza Vita, Chavas Empanadas, Waffle it, and House of Cupcakes. There are two ticketed sessions for the event. Calling all Game of Thrones fans: the Liberty Science Center {222 Jersey City Blvd.} is throwing a party just for you, complete with whiskey and plenty of winter activities. Taste of Fall at Halifax: Thursday, November 16th from 6:00PM-8:00PM

Officially welcome the season with over 50 different wines and new autumn items at Halifax’s {225 River Street} fall tasting dinner. Japan Cinefest at Hoboken Public Library: Thursday, November 16th at 6:30PM

Try out something new and head out to the Hoboken Public Library {500 Park Ave} for a screening of the movie The Shining Star of Losers Everywhere. The film takes place in 2003 and is about the Japanese economy crashing — and people are in search of hope. They found lightness in Haru Urara, a racehorse with a pink Hello Kitty mask and a career-long losing streak. Director Mickey Duzyj, the director, will be here for a Q and A after the film. Gelato Adventure with Bucket and Bay: Thursday, November 16th from 7:30PM-10:00PM

Jane DO Hoboken Grand Opening: Friday, November 17th from 6:00PM-9:00PM

While Hoboken’s latest boutique fitness spot opened up on November 1st, the studio {720 Monroe Street}, which is owned by two former Rockettes, is having its offish grand opening — Jane DO style, of course. There will be catering from Pier 115, live sketches by AeKieren, custom nail art, Shaka Bowl, and so much more.  Jane DO was born based on the belief that it is possible to have the strength of an athlete with the body of a dancer — and improve upon both in the same studio. Jane DO strives to inspire its patrons to develop a healthy confident self that extends beyond the studio walls. Hoboken Pasta Cup: Friday, November 17th from 6:00PM-9:30PM

Determine what the best pasta in Hoboken is at the first annual Hoboken Pasta Cup at the Hoboken Elks Lodge {1005 Washington Street}, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Hoboken High School girl’s soccer program. “Temporarily Yours” at Jersey City Theatre Center: Friday, November 17th at 8:00PM

Temporarily Yours, written and performed by Claudine Bryant, is showing at the Jersey City Theatre Center {339 Newark Ave} and is about a struggling actress who supplements her income as an office temp. The characters she encounters throughout her journey are seen and portrayed through the eyes of Corrine, who struggles with faith and fear, which are humorously played out as she pursues her dreams of being employed as an actress. Your Move Modern Dance Festival: Friday, November 17th at 7:30PM

Check out Jersey City’s 8th annual modern dance festival at Landmark Loew’s Theater {54 Journal Square Plaza}: Your Move, which will feature 24 artists and over 100 performers across the country. Girl Scouts Build Walking Tour App for Museum Reception: Friday, November 17th at 7:00PM

Talented scouts from Troop #12041 created a walking tour app for the Hoboken Museum, helped merchants improve handicap accessibility, and hosted workshops to help overcome bullying. To honor their hard work, there will be an award reception at the Hoboken Historical Museum {1301 Hudson} to recognize the scouts who have completed their Silver Award Projects like these. Shut Up and Listen – ’90s Edition at Transmission: Friday, November 17th at 10:30PM
