    Happy spring {even though we justtt went through another snowstorm}. While it’s not quite outdoor patio season, it’s coming. To hold you over, there’s plenty going on around town. Make sure to stop by our Hoboken Girl Formalwear Sale, ride for a cause at Cyclebar, or support the Wise Animal Rescue with a benefit dinner at Talde. Here are 14 things to do in Hoboken and Jersey City this weekend {March 22-25, 2018}.

    Hoboken Girl Formalwear Sale for Charity: Saturday, March 24th from 11:00AM-3:00PM

    Hoboken Girl Helps is back for its second annual Prom and Formalwear Dress Sale. All donated items will be set up at the Multi Service Center for the community to shop {open to everyone!} with local stylist Tiffany Piñero helping shoppers pick out an outfit for upcoming events {aka prom/weddings/other formal events}. Each dress/tux will cost $5, jewelry will cost $3 per piece, and each makeup item will cost $1 — 100% of the money raised during this sale will go towards Suits for Success {a non-profit that helps adult individuals on their quest for full-time employment} — which is a great way to pay it forward to another organization in need. Last year we had over 1000 dresses – this year we’re hoping to match or beat it! PS: Donations can be dropped off at the locations above until  Thursday 3/22 at 5PM.

    Jersey City Foodie Fest + NCAA Viewing Party: Saturday, March 31st from 5:00PM-2:00AM

    Watch the Final Four NCAA tournament at the Harborside Atrium in Jersey City on 20-foot screens and tons of great food options. The event will feature 20+ food vendors, drink specials, a full bar provided by Lutze Biergarten and games like cornhole, giant chess, beer pong, and phoseball.     Hoboken & Hudson County Chamber Networking Event at Birch: Thursday, March 22nd from 6:00PM-8:00PM

    Head out to Birch {92 River Street} for the Hoboken and Hudson County Chamber networking event. The featured guest speaker, Ethan Chazin, author of The Compassionate Organization, will discuss: How to leverage caring to set your company apart, how to motivate your employees, how to discover the power that comes from self-directed teams, and how to build your business across all five generations of American workers from Baby Boomers to Gen Z.     Zeppellin Hall Chili Mania Menu: Starting Thursday, March 22nd

    It’s time for Chili Mania at Zeppelin Hall {88 Liberty View Drive}. Through April 8th, feast on everything from beef chili to Texas Elk Chili and Lamb Chili Gyro. If you’re a purist, there is All-Beef Chili with beans, made to your liking {mild, medium, hot or alarming}, topped with cheddar cheese and diced onions, served with fries. There’s even a Vegan Chili Baked Potato {wild mushroom base, roasted peppers, red kidney beans and chipotle over baked potato and green onions}, so there is literally something for everyone.

    Second Annual Disney Singalong and Concert: Friday, March 23rd at 6:00PM

    Mike Doughty at White Eagle Hall: Saturday, March 24th at 7:30PM

    Listen to Mike Doughty, along with longtime sideman Andrew “Scrap” Livingston at White Eagle Hall {337 Newark Ave}. Mike and Scrap will perform Soul Coughing’s legendary album Irresistible Bliss alongside a rotating selection of songs spanning Mike’s entire career.     March for our Lives: Saturday, March 24th at 1:00PM

    Let your voice be heard on this day with those around the country to demand an end to gun violence in our schools, communities, and places of worship and to advocate for common sense gun laws.     Artist Talks: Saturday, March 24th at 3:00PM

    This Artists’ Talk is happening during the New Works 2018 exhibit and will feature artists Gloria Pacis, Theda Sandiford, Cheryl Gross, and Bryant Small at the Garden Level Gallery {315 3rd Street}.

    Pinocchio at JCTC Kids: Through May 20th

    Watch one of your favorite childhood classics live on stage at Jersey City Theater Center {339 Newark Ave}. Pinocchio by Puppetworks features hand-carved, wooden marionettes, original music, and vivid, colorful scenes ranging from the Undersea World, complete with a whale. Besides Pinocchio (and yes, the puppet’s nose actually grows on stage) and his creator/father, the kind Gepetto, the performance also includes the full retinue of familiar characters who accompany the puppet-boy – and his lie detector schnozzle – on his journey to become a real live boy: the Blue Fairy, Mr. Fox and Mr. Cat, the Ring Master and the Great Stromboli, the ultimate puppet master.Advance tickets/online sales: $9 for children; $10 for adults.
