There’s just something about dining on the water, and Hudson County has no shortage of spots to do it. Soon, West + Co. Waterfront Brasserie will join the lineup at 45 Riverwalk Place in West New York, serving up bites and sips alongside panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. A new restaurant is always exciting, but one with a view like this takes the whole experience to the next level. Read on to learn more about West + Co.
West + Co. Waterfront Brasserie will operate as an American brasserie within the Riverwalk Place retail promenade at Port Imperial in West New York. The area is already home to favorites like Son Cubano, Ben + Jerry’s, Alpha Fit Club, and other local hotspots, and now a new dining destination is joining the mix.

Inside the Space + A Hidden Speakeasy Experience
The space is said to feel like a Classic American Brasserie reimagined through an Art Deco lens. Curved banquettes, hand-carved corbels, and layered ceilings are all part of the plan, + massive windows will ensure panoramic waterfront views — yes, those take-a-pic moments. The design reportedly blends classic craftsmanship with a modern twist, including a 1920s-inspired “liquor candy shop” bar. The space is expected to hold up to 250 guests, a huge win for dining in this area, creating plenty of room for both large gatherings and casual nights out.
And then there’s The Wax Room — a hidden, invitation-only speakeasy tucked behind the main dining room. Guests will enter through the kitchen (how cool is this) and step into a room with over 1,000 records displayed gallery-style + a classic turntable system where the soundtrack of the night can be curated for each guest. The Wax Room is designed for intimate gatherings of up to 40 guests.

Food + Drinks
The menu at West + Co. is shaping up to be a mix of classics + shareable options. Mussels + Frites, Bibb Lettuce Greens, Crispy Artichokes, and even a vegetarian “Veal” Parmigiana will be on the menu. Seafood lovers are in luck, too — oysters, clams, + chilled seafood towers designed for sharing (team HG is already counting ourselves in for that tower). According to the West + Co. team, the dishes are meant to be “passed around the table and remembered,” making every meal feel social and memorable. The cocktail list will revive old-school classics like a Brandy Alexander and Sidecar, alongside other sips. Anchored by the 1920s-inspired “liquor candy shop” bar, the result is a cocktail experience that’s nostalgic yet current.

Operations at West + Co. are led by Wander DeBrito, Vice President of Operations, who is bringing his high-level fine dining experience to a more casual, laid-back waterfront setting. West + Co. is projected to open in late April 2026. We’ll update this piece as more details become available.
