Be it for sports games, casual parties, or just comfort food, chicken wings are some of the most beloved menu items in the country. They’re reliable, delicious, and can be shared or enjoyed alone. Restaurants in Hoboken and Jersey City have taken an American staple and added their own special twists, raising the bar for the classic wing. Hoboken

Snap Fitness JC

This restaurant offers two options: vegan wings, made with cauliflower; and regular chicken wings. Gluten-free as well as delicious? The vegan options are made with rice flour tempura-battered cauliflower, and the flavors available for both are sweet chili, buffalo, and BBQ.

Known for its creative takes on classic American dishes, Tony Boloney’s reimagines the wing game with cool flavors and names alike. Menu options include the Siam Satay, made with pad thai satay, cilantro, and crushed peanut, and the Ole, made with chipotle sauce and cilantro, and more.

This uptown pub takes on chicken wings by mixing sweet and hot to create a one-of-a-kind flavor. The pineapple chili wings are just one of the options available on the menu but by far the most distinctive. Each wing flavor comes in an option of six or 12 wings per serving.

Wings to Go | 400 Newark Street

For wings in huge quantities, this is the place to go. Orders of up to 500 wings can be placed at this restaurant, and flavors include both the basics, hot, garlic parmesan and lemon pepper, and more unusual options like a Caribbean jerk and sweet and sour. Boneless wings are also available.

Jersey City

Asian meets American at this fusion restaurant, which offers chicken wings, drumsticks, boneless wings (or a combo) in one of the two signature flavors, soy garlic or spicy, or half and half. Each option is served with a choice of either pickled radish or coleslaw, to satisfy both cuisines.

Central Bistro | 403 Central Avenue

This new restaurant sets its wings apart by offering them crispy, in either an Asian BBQ or buffalo flavor. They’re served with blue cheese, and pair perfectly with some of the other classic shareables on the menu, like nachos and calamari.

New Jersey native Andrew Martino offers delivery and takeout with his of-the-moment digital food truck concept, which offers delivery, takeout, and catering. Alongside classic flavors, the eatery boasts naked grilled wings, sticky wings, Thai Curry wings, jerk wings, and more.

Everything at this restaurant is made fresh to order and, of course, a long list of flavors is available for 5, 10, 15, and 20 piece meals (priced at a dollar per wing). Henny, Jack Daniels, strawberry habanero, and apple are some of the more exotic flavors, but classic bbq and honey garlic are also available.
