Meet James Redondo, DC
The newest member of The Spine & Sports Health Center family, Dr. James Redondo, is a board-certified chiropractor with decades of experience helping patients find relief for back pain, neck pain, and everything in between. When Dr. Redondo was 22 years old, he suffered a painful football injury, and after consulting with a chiropractor he was able to find relief. He was so inspired by the positive effects that he decided to pursue a career in chiropractic himself.
He joins The Spine & Sports Health Center as a chiropractor in their Hoboken office, seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds, with all different types of pain points.
“The youngest patient I’ve adjusted was 7 days old. The whole birthing process can be violent for the baby during the delivery. So my job is just to check the spine and make sure everything is aligned so it doesn’t lead to problems down the line,” Dr. Redondo said. “The oldest patient I’ve attended to was 94 years old, so I’ve seen quite the range.”
Additionally, over the past year, Dr. Redondo has seen an uptick in headaches and migraines most likely due to longer exposure to digital screens, in a time where many people are working from home. “A big thing we’re noticing is an increase in headaches and migraines, what with working from home and being on screens all day,” Dr. Redondo told Hoboken Girl. “Through chiro alone, we’ve had great success with headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, migraines, issues with breathing or digestion — you name it — it could be a spinal issue. Especially when it comes to lower back pain, a simple adjustment can make a world of difference.”
While most people associate chiropractic care with treatment for just back and neck pain, it can offer so much more. The right kind of personalized chiropractic care may alleviate persistent headaches, boost energy levels, improve posture, and bring about a greater sense of overall well-being.
Dr. Redondo is a lifelong Bayonne resident and has a deep appreciation for the diversity of the community. “One privilege we experience in Hudson County is exposure to different races and cultures and acceptance of everyone; it’s like no other. To have that ability to see all different races, different religions, and cultures, and to be accepting of everyone, that’s what makes Hudson County special.”
