Hoboken residents who double as [solidcore] regulars no longer need to travel to Jersey City for their pilates-adjacent workout — the popular reformer-based fitness studio is officially soft open in Hoboken at 1000 Maxwell Lane. Locals are invited to get their “shakes” on at the studio’s grand opening event on Saturday, October 14th, featuring [solidcore]’s signature 50-minute classes and products + merchandise from some of the brand’s partners. Read on for what we know about [solidcore]’s arrival in Hoboken and its grand opening event.

Rumblings of a Hoboken [solidcore] studio first started this summer when signage for the fitness studio went up at 1000 Maxwell Lane. Fitness-privy locals took note quickly, many of whom asked The Hoboken Girl when the studio would open its doors. [solidcore] was relatively quiet about its Mile Square arrival — never confirming an opening date and recently soft opening with little promotion.
For those unfamiliar, [solidcore] is a pilates-inspired workout spent almost entirely on a reformer, a piece of fitness equipment that adds resistance to traditional pilates workouts. Per [solidcore]’s website, its “core workout utilizes slow and controlled movements scientifically designed to break down muscles (to failure) so they build back stronger.” Each class is 50 minutes of these low-impact, full-body movements with the lights low and the music loud.
[solidcore] is a national franchise with over 100 locations throughout the US, and the Hoboken outpost marks the fitness chain’s 106th location. Classes can be booked individually for $25, but there are a variety of membership options too, depending on commitment level and classes taken per month. You can browse the pricing options for the Hoboken location here.
Hoboken Grand Opening
[solidcore] is soft open at 1000 Maxwell Lane Suite 105 with classes scheduled for the next week, but its grand opening celebration kicks off on Saturday, October 14th. The event runs from 8:10AM to 3PM and there are seven full body (hamstrings + triceps) 50-minute classes that locals can pop in for. In addition to traditional shake sessions, [solidcore] Hoboken will also have first-come, first-serve “product giveaways from brand partners, special membership deals, and more on-site.”
