It turns out that when Shakespeare said “all the world’s a stage,” he was talking about a PATH station, actually. Hudson County is bringing back its PATH Performs program, a series where local artists and entertainers perform live at 4 PATH stations throughout the area: Exchange Place, Harrison, Hoboken, and Journal Square. Applications to audition for the 2025 lineup are open now until Friday, May 2nd. Do you have what it takes to become the next PATH Performer? The Details

In 2019, the Port Authority of NY NJ launched its first-ever PATH Performs series, a program through which local singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, and poets performed at various PATH stations throughout Hudson County. In 2019, after an audition process, 22 performers were selected to create a “vibrant cultural experience for PATH’s diverse ridership.”

Since then, the tradition has persisted, and this past weekend, an HG team member spotted an audition sign at the Hoboken PATH station. Port Authority and the Hudson County Office of Cultural + Heritage Affairs/Tourism are accepting applications to audition from now until Friday, May 2nd. If interested, you can fill out this form here

No official timeline has been released as of this writing, but the application form suggests that programming will happen during the summer at Exchange Place, Harrison, Hoboken, and Journal Square stations. PATH Performs is not a paying gig, but performers are welcome to accept gratuities during their scheduled in-station performances.

We’ll update this piece as details unfold. For now, we encourage you to consider what your audition would include. We’ve been rehearsing a modernized rendition of “Fly Me to The Moon.”
