About Mystique Beauty
Rita Suthar is a talented, licensed cosmetologist serving the Jersey City and Hoboken community for almost 20 years. She first opened Mystique Beauty’s Jersey City location in March of 2003. Rita’s daughter-in-law Bijal runs the Hoboken studio, which opened in 2018. Both studios offer a warm, welcoming, and tranquil environment — sure to make clients feel pampered and relaxed.

The salon is spacious and inviting, with fun decor, great for a photo-op after a service. The mother/daughter-in-law duo pride themselves on offering excellent service, and locals agree. The salon has been nominated several times for Hoboken Girl’s “Best Eyebrow Spot” and was a finalist in 2019.
The Services
Threading is Mystique’s most popular service, but they also cater to several other beauty needs such as full body waxing, brow and lash tinting, lash extensions, facials, hair cuts, blowouts, hair color, and more for both men and women.
“We are also very good at hair massages, it’s a very famous Indian technique,” Rita explains. These hair massages are great for promoting hair growth, and it feels amazing as well!
The technicians at Mystique take their time with each client to achieve their desired beauty goals and brow shape. Once the threading has begun, however, it is quick and as painless as possible. The cooling products that are used on the skin after threading or waxing are imported from India and made from organic palms, tea tree oil, and lavender oil. They are all-natural and great for sensitive skin.

Services at Mystique are also affordable. Brow threading or waxing is $10, a Brazilian wax is $50, eyebrow and eyelash tinting is $15, blowouts start at $35, and facials start at $50.
Mystique is currently following all protocols for optimal safety during the pandemic. Everyone must wear a mask, stations are sanitized, and there is usually no more than one or two clients in the studio at once to achieve proper social distancing.
