A Mediterranean Menu

The owners of the restaurant tell The Hoboken Girl that Solaz will be a full-service, modern Mediterranean restaurant with a menu curated by celebrity chef David Burke. Plus, guests can enjoy a craft cocktail or choose to unwind with a glass of wine from the restaurant’s extensive international wine selection. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a great spot to enjoy a drink and some savory bites while soaking up the sun. The restaurant is slated to open its doors in the fall of 2024.

More Restaurants Coming To Newport

The exciting news continues for Jersey City foodies, as Solaz isn’t the only restaurant coming to the Newport area in the near future. Real estate developer LeFrak recently announced it signed eight retail leases within the past few months along the waterfront in Newport. Among those is Efi’s Gyro, a Greek restaurant revered in Montclair, NJ. New York City-based Chinese spot Dun Huang has called Newport home for several weeks after a soft opening back in March. In a press release, LeFrak says it continues to see success in the Newport area and looks forward to developing it in the next few years.
