Orthodontics for All Ages

Dr. Russell Sandman and Dr. Peter Feibish are both New Jersey natives who are dedicated to patient care, education, and offering the leading-edge orthodontic services. The whole team at Hoboken Orthodontics are experts in technical abilities but are also known for their friendliness and willingness to work with patients in all situations.

Hoboken Orthodontics provides orthodontic care for the whole family — children, teens, and adults. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven. That’s because by this age most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems earlier and without surgery.

Early treatment allows the orthodontist to:

  • -Correct and guide the growth of your child’s jaw to help the permanent teeth come in straight
  • -Regulate the width of the upper and lower arches
  • -Create more space for crowded teeth
  • -Avoid the need for permanent tooth extractions later in life
  • -Correct thumb sucking and help improve minor speech problems

At Hoboken Orthodontics, patients have the option to choose from a variety of braces, types, and styles. Some popular options include ceramic, invisible, lingual, and traditional metal braces. For many adults, the thought of having metal braces is enough to discourage them from receiving treatment. However, there are a ton of new orthodontic treatment options that can be comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and customized to meet your needs.

COVID-19 Safety

The  Hoboken Orthodontics staff is taking precautions to limit the exposure of COVID-19 for patients. Some appointment types can even be done via a virtual visit, so make sure to call the office to see if that’s an option for your needs. Plus, if you have an orthodontic question, you can also submit it through the pop up window on the homepage of the website and someone will be in touch to discuss it.

Patients can also expect some other safety protocols, including:

  • -A limit on the number of patients in the office at one time
  • -At least 15-30 minutes between each patient to ensure deep sterilization
  • -Using high tech IQAir purifiers that have been tested and certified to effectively filter up to 99% of harmful ultrafine pollution particles.
  • -Hypochlorous acid used as a disinfectant. It is nontoxic and highly effective in sanitizing against the COVID-19 virus.
  • -The staff and doctors will all be wearing PPE, including respiratory protective devices designed to achieve a very close facial fit and efficient filtration of airborne particles. Use of goggles and face shields will also be in place.
  • -Health questionnaires will be sent out to all patients before coming into the office and their temperatures will be taken upon entering the office.

What to Expect

When you first come to Hoboken Orthodontics, you’ll be examined by one of the doctors before discussing your lifestyle and goals for orthodontic care. Based on the exam results and what they learn from you, the team will craft a treatment plan based on your unique needs. There are many options available to get you to your goal of a new smile, and they will all be discussed with you. The staff and doctors like to make sure patients fully understand the pros and cons of each option.

Patients also get to enjoy the candy room, famously dubbed, ‘Tooth Booth’. When patients get their braces off they get to celebrate by picking out some of their fave sweets from the Tooth Booth. This is a celebratory moment since patients aren’t allowed to eat candy during orthodontic treatments.
