Galentine’s Day is {finally} here and before we all start tucking into our mounds of stocked up Valentine’s Day chocolate, it’s important to celebrate all of the fabulous ladies in our lives. In Hoboken + Jersey City, there are countless amazing women doing incredible things, from being kick-butt entrepreneurs to shredding ice as a talented figure skater. Read on to check out these local ladies we’re totally crushing on below and don’t forget to celebrate all of the equally as impressive women in your life {yourself included} this Galentine’s Day.

As one of the founders of gorgeous floral arrangements company Venus Et Fleur, Seema is a local entrepreneur who is seriously inspirational and is kicking some serious business-industry butt game. Plus, she’s been featured in Forbe’s 30 Under 30 {talk about accomplished}.

Danielle Tullo is living out a The Devil Wears Prada dream minus the angry {yet, fabulous} Meryl Streep. As a senior editor for Her Campus {a website for college-aged women} and former senior lifestyle editor for House Beautiful, Danielle is a local girl boss in the journalism industry. {Oh, and that her Instagram is equally as impressive as her resumé}.

Satisfying all your Hawaiian poké and açai bowl needs, Kiersten and Kirsta are serve up deliciously healthy bites from Hoboken’s own Shaka Bowl. Sisters and partners, the two went to school in Hawaii and soon fell in love with the food + culture, so they decided to bring a taste of it right here to Hoboken. Sharing their love of healthy food with the local community is what makes them one of our Galentine’s Day crushes.

Isadora Williams {Olympic Figure Skater}

This Olympic figure skater + Hoboken resident has represented Brazil and the entire continent of South America in TWO Winter Olympic Games. When she’s not taking in everything that Hoboken has to offer, she continues training and is working towards qualifying for her third Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022. Talk about a girl crush who is literally crushing it across the globe.

Samantha Green {of Cyclebar

As a lead instructor for one of Hoboken’s most intense cycling workouts, Samantha Green crushes it both on and off the cycling bike. She’s a local Hoboken gal whose drive to help others get fit and healthy is inspiring for all of us {oh, and she offers some serious fitspo over on her personal Instagram}.

Journalist, wellness website creator, and yogi Jeannine is a triple threat who we could all use a little inspiration from. Not only does she contribute to New York Live, and NBC New York {+ formally Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, and more}, Jeannine is also the brains behind Joyfully Me, an online wellness haven that aims to inspire women to love themselves and know their own self-worth.

Kimberley Bueno {of The Cuddly Cottage + Women Entrepreneurs of Hudson County}

As one of our Hudson County Women to Watch in 2019, Kimberly Bueno is a local businesswoman who is keeping Hoboken pets cozy and safe through her business The Cuddly Cottage {a pet care service}.  Pet care, however, is not her only feat as of late. She is one of the brains behind Women Entrepreneurs of Hudson County, which aims to help local businesswomen network and bring them together to help expand their respective businesses within a supportive environment.

Mackenzie King {of Monday Creatives and Commonless Apparel}

Helping talented creatives and brands grow, Mackenzie is the creative director of Monday Creatives. In her role, Mackenzie helps give back to the creative community every day {and Hudson County in general}. She also is a co-founder of Commonless Apparel, which now has a home on ASOS — and a pretty stellar Instagram following, if we do say so ourselves.

Brittany Anderson {of City Kidz}

Brittany Anderson is a new Hoboken mama + businesswoman who’s the mastermind behind City Kidz, Hoboken’s first streetwear boutique for kids. Inspired after having her son Xander, Brittany took it upon herself to help other local parents find outfits for their children beyond the normal toddler + children’s options. She’s helping kids develop their own sense of style {with the help of their parents}, one creative outfit at a time.
