The latest opening in Jersey City isn’t just one restaurant — it’s a food hall called District Kitchen that features 13 different delicious eateries all in one place. While it’s not quite open yet, District Kitchen has been pretty awesome at building up the hype. With the help of Instagram, District Kitchen has begun an official countdown to their opening on Monday, March 25th. Just yesterday District Kitchen began the countdown, sharing a picture with the number “7.” As in, there’s only one week left until the brand new food hall opens its doors.

The site of the new District Kitchen was once an old warehouse, located at 210 Hudson Street in the Harborside District of Jersey City. Now that it’s been converted to the food hall — a popular model that’s worked in New York City for years — patrons can get everything from beer and wine to ramen or poké. Keep reading to take an intimate look at all 13 of the eateries located at District Kitchen.

Angry Archie’s

Angry Archie’s is the place to go for any kind of fish dish. It’s known for their lobster rolls, crab cake sandwiches, and a shrimp and lobster bisque soup.

Ani Ramen

Ani Ramen has long been a Jersey City staple for ramen and Japanese bites and this District Kitchen outpost should be no different. All different kinds of ramen, bowls, and buns are just a few of the menu options to expect.

#Baonanas

Have you ever seen such cute desserts? And from such humble and sweet beginnings. #Baonanas owners LLoyd Ortuoste and Trisha Villanueva were involved in a hit-and-run car accident back in 2014 and in order to cover the costs of their damaged Subaru, began making and selling banana pudding. They offer flavors like French Toast, Mocha-Cookie, and more.

The Belgian Plate by Waffle It Co

From waffles to grilled cheese and soups of the day, The Belgian Plate has breakfast options — like acai bowls and omelets — as well as lunch options — like a bowl of spaghetti or grilled cheese sandwiches. But it’s known, of course, for its waffle dishes. With two categories of waffles — both savory and sweet — there are 10 different kinds of waffles to choose from.

Canteen to Go

Canteen to Go is the place for a delicious masala dish. With other Indian entrees like chicken briyani, veg jalfrezi, and more, it’s the go-to place for people who enjoy classic Indian dishes with fresh ingredients.

Enfes

Enfes is known for its hand-rolled Mediterranean delicacies that include falafel, grilled chicken, beef, and vegan options.

Kimchi Grill

If you’re craving kimchi, tacos, burritos, and bowls full of Korean BBQ will do the trick. For vegetarians, there are a few options like tofu edamame falafel, kimchi + organic tofu Korean “Mandu” dumplings, and more.

Left Bank Burger

Left Bank caters to burger lovers and sandwich lovers who enjoy a good pulled pork or build-your-own sammie.

Little Sushi Shop

Sushi lovers, rejoice. Little Sushi Shop has all the classic sushi favorites — bento boxes, maki rolls, sashimi, soups, and more.

Modcup

District Kitchen wouldn’t be complete without a coffee shop. Modcup offers iced coffee, espresso, and superfood lattes like turmeric, beet juice, and matcha.

Pizza Vita

Made to order and ready in 90 seconds. That’s always been Pizza Vita’s mantra, even when its only location was the original food truck. But now that it’s a permanent staple of District Kitchen, we’re hoping the same rule applies for all its traditional dishes — Plain Jane, Margherita, Fun Guy, Drunken, and Meathead slices {plus, more!}.

Salt + Seed

Salt + Seed is the place for plant-based eaters. Menu highlights include black bean burgers, artichoke tomato grilled cheese, and gluten-free options like tomato basil soup and Mediterranean salad.

Tidal Poké

Tidal offers anything and everything from smoothie bowls to poké bowls. For poké bowls, guests choose a base of either white rice, brown rice, tender greens, kale, or spiralized zucchini, add in a protein, choose a flavor, mix-ins, and toppings. District Kitchen is open five days a week, from 7:00AM to 7:00PM.
