Most outdoor dining spaces have gone to the dogs – literally. With doggie menus and water bowls galore, it’s not uncommon to see man’s best friend dining out or enjoying a visit to the cafe all over Hudson County. But for one day in July, cats will rule while dogs drool. It’s a feline first kind of day at Departed Soles Brewing, located at 150 Bay Street in Jersey City, for its first-ever Catrday. All About Catrday
Sunday, July 20th from 1PM – 7PM will be officially Catrday at Departed Soles. “Bring your cat in a backpack, stroller, or other enclosed carrier to our celebration of travel cats on SUNDAY, July 20th, from 1-7PM and celebrate all things Craft Beer with your favorite feline companion!” reads the Instagram announcement.

Pet parents are invited to bring their contained, leashed, or otherwise restrained cats to enjoy a day at the brewery. Or, if you don’t have a cat but just want to hang out at a brewery with lots of cats, you’re welcome to join too. The only rule: no dogs inside the brewery.

Organizers say that they are working with vendors to have some fantastic feline finds for sale, and with some local adoption groups to bring adoptable cats and kittens to the event. Cats will not be allowed to roam in the brewery and must remain in their carriers or on their leashes.
