There is no short supply of workout facilities in the area, each one with its own special niche – whether you prefer a traditional box gym, a pilates studio, or HIIT workouts, you can find it here in the Mile Square. Of course, that includes high-quality CrossFit. The team at CrossFit Hoboken, located at 50 Marshall Street, recently celebrated its 15th anniversary and is excited to establish roots in their new SW Hoboken spot since relocating after a 2021 building fire. All About CrossFit Hoboken

Owner Jon Bevacqua has navigated the gym through some challenging years, including COVID shutdowns to a building fire but is extremely excited for the future of CrossFit Hoboken. With the help of full-time coaches Chris Lenhart and Joey Rivelli and their team of fully certified CrossFit coaches, they are able to challenge members in their massive 12,000-square-foot training space.

The experienced team runs one-hour classes throughout the day for all ages and skill levels including group workouts, personal training, open gym sessions, HIIT, and kids training. The primary focus at CrossFit Hoboken is to focus on functional fitness, strength training, and overall health.

Spring Events

The team at CrossFit Hoboken is excited to be hosting a number of fitness-in-the-park gatherings. Be on the lookout for these upcoming outdoor training events.

On June 7th, June 21st, and July 12th, the team will be hosting fitness classes in Southwest Park from 6:00PM to 7:00PM.

In addition, the gym will be hosting a Murph, Hero Workout on Monday, May 29th at 9:00AM in honor of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in June of 2005. Following the training session will be a BBQ for all to enjoy.

Types of Classes

CrossFit Hoboken offers a variety of classes for its members. From personal training to HIIT classes, the certified instructors cater to a wide range of age groups from kids to adults with certified Crossfit instructors. Some of their most popular classes include:

Workout of the Day is the main training program – the ‘bread and butter’ as they call it at CFH. This hour-long class will challenge you while you lift weights, run, jump, push, and use your body to adapt and improve your fitness.

High-Intensity Interval Training is a 45-minute total body performance and conditioning program that is designed to train members with the functional movements of Crossfit using a multitude of exercise equipment. This small group class will push you to the max by targeting different muscle groups each day.

Open Gym is for members who are interested in doing their own thing. During open gym times, a certified L-1 coach is always on-site to help make sure everyone is exercising safely.

What to Expect

The 12,000-square-foot workout space is purposefully designed to enhance the training experience for all members. The facility is split into three sections – the main area for group training sessions and two side spaces, which are used for open gym workouts and even member-based social events.

“Being able to provide a space of fitness for the Hoboken community that we can call home is the most rewarding part,” shared Bevaqua. “Families have started at CrossFit Hoboken and now we are seeing it become a place for our kids to enjoy.”

CrossFit Hoboken is open every day of the week with classes beginning at 5:00AM and spanning the rest of the day until 7:00PM. So whether you are a morning exerciser or prefer a post-work training session, the schedule is flexible for your needs.

Memberships are also available and include both monthly and 5, 10, and 20-class pack options for those just getting started, as well as those already working out on a consistent basis. Scheduling a class or open gym time slot as well as purchasing a membership can be done using the gym’s online system.
