Between Hoboken Mutzfest last Sunday, Smorgasbar’s soft opening this week, and the Arts + Music Festival this coming Sunday, Hoboken + Jersey City locals are booked, busy, and boozing — but, as always, we’re here with more events to fill your calendar. This Friday, May 5th, the Jersey City Craft Brew Fest is back at Liberty State Park Ferry Terminal for 2023. The beer garden festival features a lineup of locally sourced beers + ciders for guests to taste test, accompanied by live music, food, and games. Tickets are required for the event, which will be held at 1 Audrey Zapp Drive in Jersey City + kick off at 6:30PM. Read on for details about this year’s Craft Brew Fest in Jersey City, which takes place this Friday, May 5th.

All About Jersey City’s Brew Fest

The Jersey City Brew Fest is an outdoor beer garden event where locals can test + assess over 150 craft beers sourced from New Jersey breweries. How it works: admission includes a “four-ounce tasting glass with a two-ounce pour line to sample any beer that’s available,” per NJ.com. Guests can peruse the garden, sampling glasses at the ready, and explore the various ciders + beers offered by vendors.

If you’re not a beer person (change that) (we’re kidding), there will be plenty of food, live music, and games to enjoy — plus, tickets for designated drivers are only $15 (compared to the $70 tickets for those looking to booze), which is an incentive in itself to scope the scene. Tickets can be purchased here.

Hoboken + Jersey City will be showing out for this event, with some beers + ciders sourced from local favorites including 902 Brewing Co., Departed Soles, Hoboken Brewery, and more. Some of the long-distance vendors include “Toms River, Untied Brewing Co., KCBC Brewery, Seven Tribesmen, Ashton Brewing, Buttzville Brewing, Czig Meister Brewing, New Trail Brewing, Birdsmouth Beer, Bout the Hops, Twinlights Brewing, Newark Local Beer,” and more, per NJ.com.

As for the eats, we can’t confirm this year’s menu, but in the past, the Jersey City Brew Fest has sourced food from local eateries like Mozzarepas, Angry Archies, Chavas Empanadas, Taste of Poland, and more.
