Early childhood education programs dot Hoboken’s streets, but local families are consistently scrambling to have their children accepted into the already-existing sites. Luckily for parents, Lightbridge Academy is opening a new location in uptown Hoboken at 1414 Willow Avenue, offering families a place to send their children for the safest care and a rigorous educational curriculum.
While the building itself is currently under construction, the program is enrolling students in the Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classes. Families can receive $500 off the first month of tuition when they register a child at Lightbridge Academy and mention Hoboken Girl.
Education + Safety Are the Top Priority
“We are more than just a daycare. We offer peace of mind knowing that your child will receive the best possible care. We hope to welcome you and your family to our amazing center where care and safety are our top priorities,” notes Ann Alvarado, the owner. “We understand the importance of maintaining the highest quality of care and early learning environment for your child, and we can’t wait to make this center your family’s home-away-from-home.”
Students will learn through a variety of methods thanks to the proprietary Seedlings Early Childhood Education Curriculum and will experience early learning in the ways that are most developmentally appropriate for their age. Great minds in early childhood education like Maria Montessori, Howard Gardner, and Loris Malaguzzi, influenced the key learnings used in the Seedlings curriculum. The goal of Lightbridge educators is to encourage children with a “learning is fun” philosophy through play and positive reinforcement and build upon skills acquired at various stages of development. Classrooms are designed with learning centers to offer children the ability to engage in teacher-led activities, child-led interests, and individual play.

The Lightbridge Academy Staff
The educators and administration at Lightbridge Academy will work to create endless memories with children in Hoboken. Each individual has had a unique journey that led them to where they are now as a valued part of the team at Lightbridge Academy. Here are a few of the founding team:
Meet Binita: The Center Director
Binita Sheth has been working in the Early Childhood Education field for the last twelve years. Six of those years, she has held the position of Center Director. Sheth holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and a Masters in Administration in Early Childhood Education. She is passionate about fostering a warm, nurturing environment conducive to learning while providing an exceptional quality of care.
Meet Carmen: The Assistant Center Director
The Assistant Center Director for the new Lightbridge Academy location is Carmen Imbimbo. Carmen has been working in the field of Early Childhood education since 2014. Throughout those years, she has held positions of Lead Teacher, Mentor, and Curriculum Specialist. Carmen earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Child Studies as well as a Certification in Child Advocacy from Montclair State University. She is devoted to curating a hands-on, loving, and critical thinking space for children and their families to thrive within the walls of Lightbridge Academy.
Parents Can Stay Connected
Parents of Lightbridge Academy students will enjoy peace of mind while at work, knowing that each child is supported, loved, and cared for. Parents can anticipate industry-leading programs including ParentView® Internet monitoring and a parent communication app, which provides parents with an ongoing live connection to their children during the day. Children enjoy private access to an on-site playground, which means there is no need to walk students to public parks.
Families Can Breathe Easy
Children will benefit from a curriculum-based educational program and enhanced health and safety procedures. The Lightbridge Promise features the most advanced 3-in-1 air purification and filtration system, the MicroCon 600, which uses Advanced Oxidation Technology. It continuously produces ionized hydrogen peroxide molecules, which are distributed to every square foot of space, creating a “clean room” environment. This system eliminates bacteria and virus contaminants, purifies the air, and reduces the risk associated with infectious airborne pathogen transmissions.
This means during these times of heightened concern for safety precautions, parents can simply focus on the happiness of their child, knowing their well-being and education comes first at Lightbridge Academy.
“We are so thankful to be given the opportunity to create endless memories. We pride ourselves on being the solution for working parents,” Ann Alvarado said. “We want to support our students and families every single step of the way.”
This program upholds a high standard for Quality of Care by emphasizing the importance of safety and cleanliness within the center. The Lightbridge Academy team focuses on inspiring learning, encouraging confidence, and nourishing each child’s growth and development.
