Something cozy and caffeine-related is brewing in downtown Jersey City. Call Me Mia, soon to be located at 363 2nd Street, will be the newest coffee shop to enter the JC cafe scene. Call Me Mia is promising European vibes in a classy style, and recently announced that it will soft open on Saturday, April 19th. Since July 2024, Hudson County locals have been given glimpses of a new project in the works at 363 2nd Street, Jersey City. Now we know that it’s Call Me Mia, “an elevated coffee experience where Jersey City meets European charm,” as per the shop’s Instagram post. As per Patch, this spot was aiming to open in mid-April. Now, we know that Call Me Mia will begin its soft opening stages on Saturday, April 19th from 8AM-2PM, per an Instagram post from the team.

Menu specifics haven’t yet to be announced, but we do know the cafe will serve locally sourced coffee classics like espresso drinks and lattes and baked goods such as bagettes, rolls, and croissants. The space, drawing inspiration from vintage European aesthetics, will feature plenty of seating options for a cozy morning, including blecher-style steps, and a kid’s area with a play kitchen for little ones to enjoy.

Another New Spot
Hoboken and Jersey City are always welcoming new businesses to its close-knit communities. Located in the same building as Call Me Mia, The Chic Collective opened its second location. The Hoboken-based salon, dubbed the best place for makeup in Hoboken in 2022 by The Hoboken Girl readers, provides services like makeup bundles and lessons, blonding, spray tans, and bridal services.
