• Where to Get Eyelash Extensions in Hoboken

    We all know there’s been a huge focus recently on great brows to shape the face and accentuate the eyes. But, if it’s true that the eyes are the windows to the soul, then it’s necessary that everything around your eyes is on point — including the lashes. While microblading is all the rage these days, eyelash extensions are a tried and true beauty art that literally makes your #IWokeUpLikeDis dreams come true. Now, we know extensions are not cheap, but, if done right, they should last a few weeks and will make you feel like a brand new woman who’s ready to conquer the world {and you really can’t put a price on that, now can you?}.

    Hoboken is home to quite a few experts in the eyelash-extension industry, but to make your search for glam a little easier, here’s a list of places to get lash extensions in Hoboken. They’ll have you feeling fierce and fabulous in no time — and usually last for about 3-4 weeks, depending how well you care for them. {Oh, and an added bonus to those new voluminous lashes – pair them with some gloss and a dash of blush and you’re ready for your go-to warm weather look}.

    Mimo Lash {230 Willow Avenue}

    If you’ve ever been to Mimo, you are probably OBSESSED. The gals at Mimo customize your lash look to your taste and features, which is what every luscious lash-loving girl wants. In your first visit, you’ll add around 100 individual lashes to EACH eye {because beauty takes time, right?}. The process takes about 1-2 hours and their prices range from $100-180. They also offer packages so you can maximize your lash-cash and have a Groupon for $60 going on that our editor just cashed in on last month {see above}. #yassss.

    Before we leave you to get gorgy, here are a few “lash commandments” you must follow post-application.

    1. Do not get lashes wet for 12- 24 hours. Light mist is fine.
    2. Avoid hot steam or sauna.
    3. Avoid running water directly on your lashes.
    4. Do not rub your eyes.
    5. Only use water based mascara (optional)
    6. If applying mascara do so from middle to tip, avoid root area.
    7. Use water based eye makeup remover.
    8. Do not perm your lashes.

    By day, Tamara is an editor at a women's magazine, but in her free time, she runs her own fashion blog and helps out with Hoboken Girl. Otherwise, you can catch her ‘gramming like it's her job, checking out the cutest spots to eat and drink and redeeming herself at spin class later.
