Hudson County has so much diversity when it comes to food and drink choices — the list of options is endless and there’s something for every taste. Now, there’s another new restaurant open in The Mile Square — and this time it’s a sushi spot on Washington Street. Read on for what we know about Avocado Sushi in Hoboken.
The Details
Avocado Sushi, Hoboken’s newest sushi spot, is located at 404 Washington Street and quietly opened up a few weeks back. The restaurant took over the now-closed New Via Mode store, per TapInto. The store put up signage back in November, and sits between Bloom Spa and 404 Vape and Smoke Shop.

Avocado Sushi is described as casual dining with a relaxed atmosphere and an elaborate sushi bar, according to its website. The store originated in New York, with five locations in Staten Island — this is its first New Jersey storefront.
“Dedicated to complete customer satisfaction, we hope that you will think of us as your favorite, local restaurant destination, no matter what the occasion!” it says on the site.
The fare served here includes sushi, sashimi, nigirizushi, cooked Asian-style dishes, and so many more options for entrees. There is soups, salads, a variety of appetizers, poké bowls, various types of sake and signature drinks, and desserts on the menu.
