Adoptable of the Month: Koko
Koko is a fun-loving, affectionate four-year-old Beagle who is ready to bring plenty of joy, energy, and snuggles to his forever family. He loves spending time outside, running around in the backyard, going on walks, and playing with other dogs — especially when wrestling is involved. After a day of fun, Koko is just as happy to settle in on the couch for some cozy time with his people. He has lived with children his whole life, is currently being fostered with other dogs, and is both house and outdoor-trained. With his playful spirit and loving personality, Koko would make a wonderful companion for an active family or couple looking for a loyal new best friend.
Here’s more about Koko, and you can fill out an adoption application.
PS: If you’re reading this and adopting a dog isn’t in the cards for you right now, you can still help! WISE is entirely volunteer-run, and every donation made to the rescue goes directly back to the animals in its care. WISE handles everything from standard veterinary care to more extensive medical and behavioral cases, and even small donations can make a big difference: donate here.

About Wise Animal Rescue
Since March 2015, Wise Animal Rescue has been saving dogs in need across New Jersey and beyond — and has rescued thousands of dogs across the region, finding them forever homes. The organization is a 501C3 nonprofit and 100% volunteer and foster-based, which means every dog is placed in a loving home instead of a traditional shelter. From seniors to puppies, giant breeds to super tiny, and pets with a myriad of medical conditions, each one receives the same thing first and foremost: love.
Beyond rescue, the team focuses heavily on education and advocacy by promoting responsible pet ownership and raising awareness about unethical breeding practices and the inhumane conditions many dogs face before entering rescue. A meaningful part of its work is ensuring every dog is thoughtfully matched with the right forever home, setting both the pup and their future family up for long-term success.
Wise Animal Rescue is also The Hoboken Girl’s nonprofit partner for The Rainbow Bridge Project, an initiative dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and loving space for the community to honor and grieve beloved pets that have passed on.
Supporting Wise is not just something we write about; it is something we truly believe in.
Please join us in helping this amazing organization, whether it’s sharing their posts online, donating your time or resources, or considering adoption.
Thank you to Bond Vet for sponsoring this monthly initiative!
