Hoboken High School Students Are Hosting a Prom for Local Senior Citizens

Here in the Mile Square, there are so many local happenings that occur each week — from live music and trivia nights to craft classes, artisan markets, and so much more. Next week, Hoboken High School students will be hosting a very special event, just for senior citizens. Hoboken’s senior citizen prom will take place at Hoboken High School on Thursday, May 2nd at 6:30PM. Read on for more about this upcoming Hoboken event.

The Details

A prom for local senior citizens will take place on Thursday, May 2nd, per a post on X from the City of Hoboken. The prom will take place at Hoboken High School, located at 800 Clinton Street in Hoboken, starting at 6:30PM. The City of Hoboken shared with The Hoboken Girl that the student-led event will include dancing, dinner, and music.

The Hoboken Hop Shuttle will also provide a special route on the night of the event to bring citizens to the prom. Pickup will begin at 5:30PM at the Hoboken Multi-Service Center — located at 124 Grand Street — and will stop at all senior buildings on the route to Hoboken High School. See the full route below. Drop-off after the event will begin at 8PM from the high school.

This event is hosted in partnership with Hoboken Senior Services and the Hoboken High School National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Student Government.
