Unless you’ve stayed locked in your apartment for the last four days, you know it’s hot… very hot. 95+ degree temperatures with heat indexes of 105-110 degrees due to extreme humidity has caused officials to release an excessive heat warning from Friday, August 12th through Sunday, August 14th at 10:00PM.  The City of Hoboken has opened a cooling center located at 124 Grand Street which will remain open until 8:00AM on Monday morning. Residents are encouraged to stay in air conditioning as much as possible and to check on elderly neighbors and people with disabilities who may need assistance keeping cool.
