Hoboken PATH Trains will not be reducing their overnight schedule
– There was an uproar recently regarding the Port Authority’s proposed reduction in overnight weekday service after 1am between NYC and Hoboken. Luckily, the proposal was recently taken off the table due to the strong opposition by many residents and local politicians. Thank goodness!
$550K granted to Mission 50 to triple in size
– Mission 50 {the downtown spot for entrepreneur and start-up workspace} in Hoboken was approved for a $556,550 loan to triple in size by expanding to a 13,000 square foot co-working facility near mass transit. It will have laptop-ready desks with Internet connectivity, virtual mailing addresses, soundproof phone booths, and more–Mission 50 has a current membership roster of over 300 businesses plus 200 more companies that can choose between daily and monthly leasing options. Little Town NJ relocating — the Ainsworth is coming in its {Sinatra Drive} place
– The Manzo brothers are moving their Little Town NJ location to an undisclosed spot {we have our suspicions its the Village Pourhouse}, and re-opening the 310 Sinatra Drive location as The Ainsworth, a local gastropub chain this spring. “We are thrilled to partner with Paige Hospitality Group and bring one of the best and most established upscale steak, burger, and sports gastropub brands in the country to the waterfront space in Hoboken,” says Albie Manzo. “We look forward to announcing the next evolution of the Little Town brand in a vibrant and exciting part of town,” Chris adds. – Creatives rejoice! A Jersey City shop is expanding to a second location in Hoboken — location and more details coming soon. Check out their website here for the time being. Yay!
Club Barks opens this weekend on Jefferson Street
– It seems like Club Barks is open for business on Jeff between 7th and 8th — yesterday they were open from 9am-4pm. Featuring grooming, daycare, supplies, and training. Pierre is excited!
Prime Gourmet opens on 8th and Monroe
– This new convenience store is an upscale twist to some of the places you see around town — featuring some gluten free options {I even saw quinoa to-go cups}, quest bars, and some other yummy food and drink options. Great when you just need one or two things {and don’t feel like braving the Sunday crowds at Shoprite}.
The Hoboken viaduct renovations are finally showing some pizazz
– All of the bumpy roads are finally getting fixed, and it’s looking mighty pretty back there. A few more potholes to be fixed and we are hopefully good to go!
Carlo’s Bakery’s Hoboken shop closed for renovations
– Carlo’s is closed until mid-Feb for renovations. No lines for a few weeks!

– The Hoboken Charter School’s MLK march on Washington was a heartwarming sight to see — demonstrating the power of peaceful protest through the eyes of babes. Love.
