The internet isn’t exactly heralded as a haven of positivity — so when a heartwarming story pops up on our feeds, we feel inclined to share, especially when that story stars two Hoboken locals, their baby named Romey, and an act of kindness from a stranger.
Hoboken resident Kelly Levine has gone viral on TikTok after sharing her experience on a recent flight. It was her baby Romey’s first time flying, and as Kelly recalls, she was “so nervous to fly with a baby.” Lo and behold, people can be good — both babies and adults. A nearby passenger noticed that Romey loved watching her crochet. Unbeknownst to Kelly, her husband, and Romey, the woman was crocheting a baby beanie for Romey to wear. See the full video below.

As it turns out, the woman’s name is Meegan Rubin, and she’s the owner of a small business called Crochet Obey. On her Instagram, Meegan shares a number of her crochet creations — from dog sweaters to purses and other accessories. You can find Meegan’s Instagram account here.
The video has garnered over 300,000 likes and 357 comments from users expressing how touched they were by the story. Even Microsoft (yes, the tech company) pitched in, calling Meegan an “A+ human being” below the post.
About the experience, Kelly told The Hoboken Girl that she “was so pleasantly surprised at the kindness of humans around” her. Though Romey couldn’t speak to the situation, her face says it all: this is the cutest story ever.
