It’s never too early for parents to start thinking about finding a great school for their children — and luckily, Hoboken is home to some wonderful preschools. Cresthill Academy was founded in Lyndhurst, New Jersey in 2010 with a goal to create quality education for young children. Since then, the school has launched its Exceptional Early Education™ program and has expanded to six locations in New Jersey — three of which are in Hoboken. Keep reading to learn more about this local preschool, its language-immersion programs, the all-organic menu (made by an in-house chef), and the upcoming Open House.

Organic Menus + Language Immersion

Cresthill Academy provides all students 18 months and older with a completely organic and balanced menu, prepared on-site by Chef Zhanna of Purely Plated Organic. This means that even ingredients like the dried fruits in the homemade scones are completely organic. The philosophy behind the menu is that a nutritious and GMO-free diet leads to better brain development, healthier children, and healthy long-term eating habits.

Beyond organic food and well-rounded menus, the center values education beyond traditional child care through immersive language programs for Mandarin, Spanish, and American Sign Language. The school also implements a thematic-based EsteamED curriculum, which stands for empathy, science, technology, engineering, arts, math, entrepreneurship, and diplomacy.

“We are very excited about the launch of the Cresthill Academy Immersion (CAI) School at our 112 Sinatra and 1300-1330 Sinatra locations in Hoboken, which will offer Mandarin immersion preschool through Kindergarten in a 60-40 format,” Christina Dorando, the Founder + CEO, told Hoboken Girl. “One of our goals at Cresthill Academy is to provide the gift of being bilingual and biliterate in Mandarin and English and enable them to be a citizen of the world while providing beneficial brain development by learning Mandarin for English speakers.”

Upcoming Open House Event

Cresthill Academy is hosting an Open House event on Tuesday, November 15th from 5:30PM to 7PM. The event will be held at 112 Sinatra Drive in Hoboken and give attendees the chance to meet the center director, Cassie Curran, and learn about the Infant and Toddler programs. Attendees will also have the chance to meet Head of Mandarin programming Stephanie Li and to learn about the Mandarin Immersion preschool for the 2023-2024 school year.

“We have such a strong community and bond here, the support we get from our families and the Hoboken Business Alliance is what makes this place so special. Hoboken is the perfect blend of big city benefits in a small town vibe,” Christina said. “Not to mention we also have simply the best views of New York City from our waterfront locations.”

For those who are not able to attend the Open House event in person but would like to see the school, you can reach out and request a personal tour of the campus.

Peace of Mind for Cresthill Parents

Cresthill Academy provides peace of mind for families by prioritizing children’s care and education through a completely organic menu, daily in-person Mandarin classes with native speakers, both indoor + outdoor play areas, highly-educated caregivers, cleaning technology, and by upholding a commitment to Exceptional Early Education™.

“One of our goals at Cresthill Academy is to provide peace of mind for families entrusting their child’s education and care to us. The only way to provide positive and sustainable change towards a better future starts with quality early education,” Christina mentioned. “Waking up each day knowing that our Cresthill teams are providing the foundation for an intelligent, compassionate, and diplomatic future generation is easily one of the best parts of Cresthill Academy.”

Prior to reopening in June 2020 from the COVID-19 pandemic, Cresthill Academy invested in the AirScrubber by Aerus® technology, attached directly to the school’s HVAC system ductwork to reduce viruses, bacteria, and other contaminants in the ambient air and on surfaces.

The patented and proprietary ActivePure® Technology is an advanced surface and air purification system and it has been proven to reduce up to 99.9% of many common airborne and surface contaminants in lab studies. This means parents can feel confident knowing their children are spending the day in a healthy + clean environment.

Cresthill Academy has multiple locations throughout North Jersey, including three locations in Hoboken at 112 Sinatra Drive, 1300-1330 Sinatra Drive North, and 360 1st Street. You can call the uptown location at 551-239-9952, reach out to 201-903-4740 for the downtown campus, or call 862-212-3640 to schedule a tour at the Hoboken South location.
