Kristy Fitzgerald, LMFT founded KMF Therapy Collective in New York in 2013. The practice expanded to New Jersey in 2021 and the highly-trained team provides both in-office and virtual therapy.

She has a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and uses a collaborative, non-judgmental approach to help clients heal + grow emotionally.

“I love working with clients and helping them gain insight, break through old patterns, and ultimately thrive,” Kristy said.

Kristy is dual-licensed and splits her time between the New Jersey and New York practices, she is also trained in trauma-specific modalities, such as EMDR/IFS/SE.

Morgan Hopper, LAC, NCC

Morgan Hopper is a licensed associate counselor in New Jersey, working with individual adults and adolescents both in-person and virtually out of the Hoboken office location.

Morgan tailors her approach to the client’s needs in an effort to meet each individual where they are at in their therapeutic journey. Her intention is not to walk in her clients’ shoes — she is there so clients learn how to walk more confidently in theirs with her support.

Morgan specializes in anxiety, depression, relationships involving power-based or interpersonal violence, grief + loss, prenatal + postnatal care, and substance use. She draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She has additionally been certified in Compassion Skills and Ethical Online Counseling to hone her skills for telehealth.

René specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, substance use, and the family/loved ones of those with substance use disorders. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT).

All About KMF Therapy Collective

Kristy Fitzgerald started KMF Therapy Collective in 2013 and has grown the practice to now include offices in New York (near the Flatiron building) and New Jersey with wonderful, like-minded professionals who specialize in supporting people with the everyday difficulties, as well as the more complex challenges that people face.

One of the best parts of KMF Therapy is the opportunity to develop “a relationship that promotes support and healing,” Kristy said.

The local team can also provide virtual therapy and will always make sure people get the help they need, even if that means making a referral outside of the KMF Therapy practice. KMF Therapy Collective is an out-of-network provider, but can provide a sliding scale when needed.
