It’s been a long, chilly “spring” week, but we’re not letting it get us down. Here are three of our faves from this week that you should definitely check out around town:
1. Wedding Makeup = CHECK!
If you haven’t been following on Instagram {@HobokenGirlBlog}, then you haven’t heard that HG Editor Jen found her makeup artist for her wedding — Juliette of Artist Makeup Academy in the Monroe Center.
Bridal trials are $100, and the day-of bridal makeup is $300 with Jules {$150/bridesmaid} — and ommmiggodd, never-have-I-ever felt so beautiful! Absolutely loved the way Jules did my makeup, and am not sure I can ever do my makeup myself again without feeling less-than-airbrushed! I think I may be spending $100/night whenever I need to go out so I can get my makeup done by Jules. This photo was taken with my iPhone without ANY retouching, and I can’t believe how flawless Jules made my face.

2. Earring Heaven from Aaraa Accessories
Was shopping recently and picked up these bad boys from Aaraa Accessories {on 6th}. LOVE THEM! They are pink and totally spring. Wearing them with some purple nails and a mint scarf {from the Gypsy Warrior pop-up #RIP/Miss youuu}. Hopefully it sends the message that we NEED SPRING. Pretty please.
3. Penne Vodka from Lisa’s
While I’m not a big fan of how long it takes to order from Lisa’s Italian Deli on 9th, I am a big fan of their penne vodka pasta! Such great comfort food, especially with these cold spring days. The turkey meatballs were juuust okay, but the penne vodka {with peas, which I love} was definitely something to write home about {or on Hoboken Girl}. Yum.
