About The Table at 3 Acres

The Table is a new, sleek American restaurant that recently opened in 3 Acres, a luxury rental building in Jersey City’s West Side neighborhood.

“Being a part of the Downtown Jersey City dining scene was an incredible experience that I will always cherish,” Chef Daniel Latham told The Hoboken Girl. “Now, as I embark on this new adventure with ‘The Table,’ I am excited to bring the essence of that journey and passion to a neighborhood that’s on the brink of explosive growth. Serving the new residents of this area while also welcoming back my former downtown patrons is a prospect that truly excites me.”

The Table has an upscale, casual atmosphere which makes it feel like a nice spot for date night, dinner with friends, or a weekend family brunch.

The welcoming, friendly vibe is matched with a modern-meets-historic design. Inside and outside tables are separated by glass-clad garage-style doors which are left open when the weather is nice.

Diners will also notice raw concrete, metal, and reclaimed materials in the Danish-inspired decoration details. Staying true to the name, there is a beautiful 25-foot live-edge gathering table made from Acacia wood harvested from a 500-year-old felled tree. This private table can seat up to 30 guests and the entire restaurant holds 150 people.

“The concept for The Table comes from our mission to create an upscale, yet casual place where friends and family can enjoy classic American comfort food in a laid-back atmosphere,” JB Geibel, who operates the restaurant along with Chef Daniel Latham, told The Hoboken Girl. “There’s something for everyone here.”

The food at The Table has American classics with a twist, vegetarian and gluten-free options, handcrafted pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and entrees — including favorites from Latham House.

Dinner guests can look forward to an expansive menu with shared plates like Crispy Calamari served with roasted red pepper and a spicy tomato-serrano sauce. There’s a selection of fresh salads including The Wedge and Latham’s Asian Salad which is topped with rice noodles, crispy wontons, and a sesame-ginger dressing. The 3 Acres Veggie Burger and Organic Roast Chicken Club are two of the restaurant’s delicious sandwiches and both come with a side of skin-on fries. The entree menu features popular options like Sesame Crusted Organic Salmon which comes with vegetables, jasmine rice, wasabi mustard sauce, and pickled ginger.

Team HG recently visited The Table for a Friday night dinner and it was all around a great experience. The vibe is cozy, the staff is so attentive, and the food + drinks are made with such attention to detail. It’s the perfect new spot for date night or a group outing. Be sure to go hungry, because you probably won’t be able to choose just one entree.

Tea, coffee, and yummy desserts like the Downtown Bread Pudding and Miss Tami’s Pecan Pie are the perfect way to end the meal on a sweet note. HG Pro tip: order the espresso martini and the bread pudding — you’ll thank us later.

Seasoned mixologist Paul Lemonier is behind the beverage program at the JC restaurant and he has curated a menu of signature and classic cocktails with options like the Smokey Paloma, Espresso Martini, and Old Fashioned. The Table also serves zero-proof drinks, craft beer, and fine wine including pours from Fresh Vine Wines which is a health-conscious label by Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough.

And, let’s not forget brunch — this menu features coffee, tea, and brunch drinks like Bloody Marys and Mimosas to go along with the tempting brunch entrees. There are some elevated options like Smoked Salmon Benedict, Huevos Rancheros, and The Table Omelet. The menu also includes comfort-food favorites like Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes and Cast Iron Mac + Cheese.

The Table also recently brought back Chef Latham’s Brunch — which includes Latham House favorites like the Ridiculous Egg Sandwich, Chilaquiles, and French Toast + Fresh Berries, among other items. This brunch comes with a bottomless drink option for $25 (choose from mimosas, Bellini’s, and Bloody Mary’s).

“The best part of The Table is the pleasure of cooking and the enjoyment and excitement that the 3 Acres space creates with our guests,” Chef Dan Latham said.
