There’s nothing better than when local businesses join forces to create something special — especially when creativity, community, and shopping all come together under one roof.  Three local brands are officially expanding The Collective, bringing the concept to a new, permanent home at 79 Hudson Street, Suite 103LL. The businesses joining The Collective are Hoboken Hat Bar, Susan Beth Design Studio, and The Loop. Read on for more about The Collective and the local brands joining it.

About The Collective Hoboken

Originally launched as a shared space for creativity + connection, The Collective Hoboken was created as more than just a traditional shop. The concept was designed to function as a community hub for local artists, art lovers, and anyone looking for a cool, hands-on experience. The space blends shopping, creating, and learning, providing an environment that supports the arts while bringing people together. With this new permanent location, The Collective is expanding to include three small businesses to join the fun.

The Local Brands Joining The Collective

One of the brands now calling The Collective home is The Loop, founded by longtime friends Vanessa Berensten and Michaela Rubin. Centered around sustainability + community, The Loop provides a carefully selected collection of secondhand clothing sourced directly from Hoboken locals. With a permanent storefront inside The Collective, shoppers can browse one-of-a-kind pieces year-round, along with regular in-store events and special activations.

The studio features custom gemstone jewelry, personalized embroidery, and home-inspired gifts, while also serving as a go-to destination for creative workshops and private events, including birthday parties and group gatherings.

One of those most exciting features, though, is Susan’s Italian charm bracelet making. It’s completely walk-in (no appointment necessary) and open from Tuesday – Saturday, 10AM – 5PM. Danielle from our team recently went and created her own bracelet, choosing six adorable charms and had the best time. See a photo below.

Rounding out the trio is Hoboken Hat Bar, an interactive concept focused on customizable western and trucker hats. Guests can personalize hats with patches and vinyl designs. PS: Carli from our team picked up an HBKN hat from the Hat Bar over the summer and has been wearing it all around town ever since.

What to Expect

The Collective will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM, with a rotating schedule of creative workshops that will be offered during both daytime and evening hours. The space will also host custom private events and parties.
