About the Project

The Hoboken Connect project was announced in the summer of 2022. The project is a significant revitalization of the area around the PATH Station and the station itself. When complete, there will be new apartment and office buildings and a refreshed station. It is a collaborative effort between public and private entities, including the City of Hoboken, NJ Transit, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Work began on the transit plaza in July 2025. Via a Nixle alert, NJ Transit President + CEO Kris Kollluri shared the following statement: “NJ TRANSIT is excited to advance these critically important access and resiliency improvements as part of Hoboken Connect. Together with the new bus facility under construction, the ongoing Long Slip project and related capital upgrades to the Terminal and Yard, Hoboken will be a more connected, resilient and accessible gateway for the City and broader region.”
